On the morning of February 3, Andy Wu, head of Investment Promotion at InvestHK, and deputy head William Ren visited CCPIT Beijing and met with colleagues from Department of Trade and Investment Promotion, Legal Affairs, and International Relations. Leaders of Department of Trade and Investment Promotion and Legal Affairs respectively presented their plans for setting up investment platforms, handling commercial disputes, publishing early warning information, and carrying out professional trainings, and explored cooperation potentials with InvestHK. Andy Wu then introduced Hong Kong’s latest investment policies on business and investment promotion as well as talent attraction. He also dived into InvestHK’s functions and commercial service initiatives, hoping that Hong Kong and Beijing would leverage industrial plans and competencies in fields like technology, biopharmaceuticals, finance, and commercial services to help companies in two cities to chase international development and improve business and investment promotion. The two sides also exchanged ideas on experience and practice of facilitating cross-border investments.
