On September 12, the Special Forum on the "Integration of Sci-Tech Innovation and Industrial Innovation to Drive the Development of New Quality Productive Forces" successfully concluded at Shougang Park. The forum was a part of the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS).
At the forum, Beijing unveiled a new development mechanism marked by the integration of sci-tech innovation and industrial innovation. Leveraging its strategic role as the national capital of China, Beijing has established a coordinated working mechanism to further refine and optimize this integration, and formed a strategic advisory committee of experts for the integration. Through the working mechanism, the city will promote coordinated progress in technological breakthroughs, commercialization of research results, project implementation, and ecosystem building, aiming to foster a key engine for new quality productive forces and support high-quality development in the capital.
At the forum, the newly upgraded Beijing Industrial Map was officially released. The new map represents a leap from "static planning" to "dynamic real-time display". It integrates industrial data on planning, policies, and industrial parks, covering the city's industrial parks, enterprises, and innovation resources. The map also enables multi-dimensional searches for policies. It is now a one-stop service platform rather than a map that merely demonstrates. By supporting precise decision-making and development for enterprises, the map is designed to help transform Beijing's innovation potential into industrial momentum.
