2026-10-19 10:54:42

To further advance the “Connecting the World, Investing in Beijing, Sharing the Future” initiative, leverage Shenzhen’s strengths as a gateway for opening-up and the high-level trade platform provided by the Dubai Business Forum, and help Beijing-based enterprises seize opportunities in Middle Eastern markets and expand into new overseas business areas, CCPIT Beijing organized a delegation of local enterprises to attend the Dubai Business Forum in Shenzhen. From October 13 to 14, 2026, Zhang Jianwei, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of CCPIT Beijing and President of the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce (BCIC), led a delegation to Shenzhen for a series of economic and trade exchanges and study visits.

The Dubai Business Forum—China 2026, organized by Dubai Chambers, was held at Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen, bringing together more than 100 senior government and business representatives from Dubai. Over 100 Beijing-based enterprises, including BAIC Group and Deepexi Technology, attended the forum and engaged in targeted business matchmaking and negotiations with Dubai government agencies, business associations, and leading enterprises to connect with industrial resources and explore cooperation opportunities. During the forum, BCIC and Dubai Chambers renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on friendly cooperation. Zhang Jianwei and Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, signed the MoU. The two sides reviewed the positive outcomes of their previous cooperation and agreed to further consolidate their long-term partnership, increase reciprocal delegation visits, jointly organize economic and trade activities, and constantly expand channels for cooperation between the business communities of Beijing and Dubai.

Ahead of  the forum, CCPIT Beijing held talks with a delegation led by Amna Lootah, Director General of Dubai Airport Freezone and Dubai CommerCity. In recent years, the two sides have worked closely to support enterprises in expanding into Middle Eastern markets. In 2025, CCPIT Beijing assisted Zhuanzhuan Group, a BCIC member, with its business visit, site selection, and negotiations in Dubai. These efforts facilitated the signing of an MoU between Zhuanzhuan and Dubai Airport Freezone, the establishment of Zhuanzhuan’s regional headquarters, and the development of a cross-border supply chain hub for the secondhand circular economy in the Middle East. CCPIT Beijing and its Dubai counterparts will step up efforts to jointly organize economic and trade activities, promote relevant policies, and improve support services for enterprises. They will continue to explore cooperation opportunities in artificial intelligence, cross-border e-commerce, healthcare, and other sectors, while jointly providing enterprises in Beijing and Dubai with comprehensive services spanning policy guidance, business matchmaking, and project implementation. These efforts will further enhance the quality and efficiency of bilateral trade and investment.

During its stay in Shenzhen, the CCPIT Beijing delegation also visited the GoGBA Business Support Centre (Futian). Jointly established by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Futian District People’s Government, and the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in Guangdong, the centre is the first of its kind in China to provide dedicated services to Hong Kong businesses from within a high-speed railway station.  The delegation gained an in-depth understanding of the station’s dual-track service system and operational mechanisms, which support Hong Kong businesses in expanding into the Greater Bay Area while helping mainland enterprises leverage Hong Kong as a gateway to international markets. The delegation also held discussions with representatives of the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency and the Guangdong · Hong Kong · Macao Greater Bay Area (Shenzhen · Hong Kong) Measure Test Certification Development Promotion Alliance. Drawing on the Greater Bay Area’s proven experience in green trade, carbon footprint certification, and alignment with international standards, the delegation explored ways to better support Beijing-based enterprises in meeting international green trade requirements and enhancing their competitiveness in global markets.

Going forward, CCPIT Beijing will continue to leverage its role in “connecting government and enterprises, linking domestic and international markets, and facilitating supply-demand matchmaking”. It will further expand its international trade cooperation network, enhance the “Connecting the World, Investing in Beijing, Sharing the Future” event series, and facilitate targeted connections between Beijing-based enterprises and overseas markets, customer channels, and cooperation opportunities, helping more enterprises expand effectively into international markets.
