On the afternoon of October 9, Zhang Jianwei, Secretary of Party Leadership Group of CCPIT Beijing and President of Beijing Chamber of International Commerce (BCIC), and Li Xiangying, Chairperson of CCPIT Beijing, led a delegation to Beijing International Studies University (BISU). The delegation toured the University History Museum and the China-Arab Cultural and Tourism Cooperation Research Center before meeting with Li Biyou, Secretary of the CPC BISU Committee and Ji Jinbiao, President of the university. Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing and Vice President & Secretary General of BCIC, and Cheng Wei, Vice President of BISU, attended the meeting along with officials from both sides.
Li Biyou welcomed the delegation and noted that CCPIT Beijing serves as an important bridge for the capital’s international economic exchanges and cooperation. BISU is advancing differentiated excellence in higher education by focusing on three key areas: language technology, cultural tourism, and the international expansion of industries. Through these efforts, the university aims to improve the quality of education and strengthen its overall capabilities as an application-oriented university. He expressed the hope that the two sides would further deepen their strategic cooperation by addressing the shared needs of industries expanding overseas, promoting innovation in academic programs and talent development models, and strengthening the international expansion support system, thereby contributing to Beijing’s high-quality development through targeted and professional services.
Zhang Jianwei thanked BISU for its longstanding support for CCPIT Beijing. He noted that BISU has a rich educational tradition and a distinctive international outlook, and that the two sides enjoy a solid foundation and broad prospects for cooperation. He expressed the hope that CCPIT Beijing and BISU would build on their shared interests and explore broader practical collaboration in enterprise development, the international expansion of industries, and talent cultivation. He also called for deeper research into priority countries and regions and Beijing’s industrial development, alongside intensified efforts to improve the international expansion support system. Through these initiatives, the two sides will make their exchanges and cooperation more substantive and productive, jointly contributing to Beijing’s high-standard opening-up.
