To deepen economic and trade ties between Beijing and Guangxi, help Beijing-based enterprises seize opportunities arising from the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the China-ASEAN FTA 3.0, and expand into ASEAN markets, Li Xiangying, Chairperson of CCPIT Beijing, led a delegation of more than 20 representatives from 15 enterprises and institutions in healthcare, digital technology, intelligent manufacturing, and other sectors to Nanning from September 16 to 19, 2026. The delegation attended the 23rd China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS), the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), and related events.
The delegation was present at the Opening Ceremony of CABIS, the Annual Meeting of the China-ASEAN Business Council & China-ASEAN Joint Meeting of Leaders of China-ASEAN Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and other events. It exchanged views with business representatives from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and other ASEAN countries on promoting bilateral trade. The delegation also toured the CAEXPO exhibition halls, the China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park, and the Nan-A ASEAN Valley OPC Community in Nanning to learn about the development of industrial platforms serving ASEAN markets.
During its stay in Guangxi, CCPIT Beijing jointly organized the Matchmaking Conference for Entrepreneurs from China and ASEAN Countries with CCPIT Guangxi and CCPIT Wuhan. Zhang Fangfang, Vice Chairperson of CCPIT Beijing, addressed the event. She noted that the event aimed to establish a cooperation pathway that leverages Beijing’s innovation strengths, Guangxi's role as a gateway to overseas markets, and the practical application of ASEAN markets. It facilitated the integration of industrial resources and other factors among Beijing, Guangxi, and ASEAN. Zhang highlighted Beijing’s strengths in technological innovation, industry, and market resources, and promoted major platforms such as the China Beijing International High-Tech Expo (CHITEC) and the Beijing International Investment and Trade Conference (BIIT). She also invited representatives from all sectors to visit Beijing for exchanges and cooperation. At the matchmaking event, Beijing-based enterprises held face-to-face discussions with enterprises and institutions from ASEAN countries. Leveraging Beijing’s strengths in technological innovation, capital, and professional services and Guangxi’s role as a gateway, the participants explored ways to align Beijing technologies with application scenarios in ASEAN markets.
The visit provided Beijing-based enterprises with an efficient and practical platform for connecting with ASEAN markets and further consolidated the foundation for cooperation between Beijing and Guangxi. Going forward, CCPIT Beijing will continue to follow up on the outcomes of the matchmaking activities and promote deeper, more substantive economic and trade exchanges between Beijing and ASEAN.
