From September 15 to 17, CCPIT Beijing organized a series of Saudi arbitration resource matchmaking events under its “Commercial Legal Services for Enterprises” initiative. It coordinated visits by a delegation from the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA) to China Communications Services, Meituan, and Xiaomi Corporation, providing the companies with direct access to high-quality international legal and commercial resources and professional services. SCCA’s CEO Dr. Hamed Merah, Vice President & General Counsel Christian Alberti, and Director of International Relations Farad Asghari participated in the events.
During the visits, the SCCA delegation gained firsthand insights into the three companies’ business operations in Saudi Arabia. Drawing on their practical needs in expanding overseas, representatives of the companies held in-depth discussions with the delegation on compliance, risk control, dispute resolution, and other issues. The events effectively addressed the legal service needs of enterprises going global and established direct communication channels between the companies and SCCA. They also enhanced participants’ understanding of Saudi Arabia’s commercial dispute resolution mechanisms and local professional service resources, laying a foundation for regular cooperation and providing strong support for robust business operations in the Saudi market.
CCPIT Beijing and the SCCA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in September 2025. Going forward, CCPIT Beijing will continue to leverage its role in “connecting government and enterprises, linking domestic and international markets, and facilitating supply-demand matchmaking”. It will expand regular cooperation with the SCCA and other international commercial legal service providers, further develop the “Commercial Legal Services for Enterprises” initiative, and connect enterprises going global with more high-quality international legal and commercial resources. It will also provide more efficient and professional legal support for enterprises’ international operations and contribute to Beijing’s development as an international commercial arbitration center.
