From September 7 to 10, 2026, Zhang Jianwei, Secretary of Party Leadership Group of CCPIT Beijing and President of Beijing Chamber of International Commerce (BCIC), led a 21-member delegation representing 12 enterprises, including Beijing Building Industrialization Group, Timeloit, Beijing Zhidemai Technology, Benefm, and Bao’s Pastry, to Thailand for economic and trade exchanges. During the visit, CCPIT Beijing organized nine events, including the “Beijing Products Going Global” Thailand Event, a roundtable between the Chairman of BCIC and Thai trade and investment promotion agencies, and two-way business matchmaking activities. More than 120 representatives from enterprises and institutions in Beijing and Thailand participated in the events, further deepening bilateral economic and trade cooperation and generating tangible outcomes.
Supporting Beijing-based Enterprises in Deepening Their Presence in Thai and ASEAN Markets
Focusing on the development needs of competitive industries, the visit provided Beijing-based enterprises with an efficient platform for business matchmaking and valuable opportunities to enter the Thai market and expand their presence across ASEAN. It also helped address challenges such as information gaps, limited matchmaking channels, and fragmented resources.
The Beijing-Thailand Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion & Matchmaking Conference and “Beijing Products Going Global” Thailand Event, attracted more than 110 government officials and business representatives from China and Thailand. Focusing on Beijing’s competitive industries—including artificial intelligence, the digital economy, low-carbon development, healthcare, environmental protection, green and intelligent construction, and food and consumer goods—the event featured product presentations and business negotiations tailored to local market demand, helping participating enterprises expand their international presence.
The delegation visited the headquarters of WHA Industrial Estates and the AI industry park at True Digital Park to learn about their operating models and gain a deeper understanding of Thailand’s investment policies and industrial ecosystems. It also held in-depth discussions with leading Thai enterprises, including TCP Group and Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group), exploring cooperation opportunities in smart agriculture, food and beverages, consumption upgrading, and digital transformation. These activities helped Beijing-based enterprises strengthen their presence in Thailand, expand into the broader ASEAN market, and increase their overseas market share.
The “Set Sail for ASEAN—Executive Development Program for Internationalization of Private Enterprises” was also launched to establish an industrial exchange and service platform for Beijing’s private enterprises, providing resources, market access, and expertise to support their international expansion.
Strengthening Coordination among Government, Enterprises, and Institutions and Constantly Expanding Channels for Friendly Exchanges between Beijing and Thailand
BCIC held a roundtable with Thai trade and investment promotion agencies to further strengthen institutional ties. The event was attended by heads of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand, the Federation of Thai Industries, the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the Thai-Chinese Economic and Investment Institute, the CTAB Attorneys Association, the CCPIT Representative Office in Thailand, and other institutions. Under the theme “Deepening Beijing-Thailand Economic Cooperation and Jointly Promoting Regional Connectivity,” participants put forward recommendations in three key areas of cooperation: new-energy vehicles and intelligent manufacturing; the digital economy and artificial intelligence; and healthcare and low-carbon development. They also proposed establishing a regular coordination mechanism among chambers of commerce, strengthening integrated legal and commercial services, and promoting reciprocal delegation visits.
During its stay in Thailand, the delegation visited business associations including the Federation of Thai Industries, the Thailand-China Business Council, and Thai-Beijing Chamber of Commerce. It met with Veerachai Monsintorn, Vice President of the Federation of Thai Industries; Xu Shengwen, Vice Chairman of the Thailand-China Business Council; Yao Huaxing, President of Thai-Beijing Chamber of Commerce; and other representatives. The delegation provided an overview of CCPIT Beijing and BCIC and promoted Beijing’s business environment. Representatives of participating enterprises also engaged in extensive discussions with Thai business associations and their member companies on their respective business areas. The two sides exchanged views on industrial cooperation, project collaboration, market expansion, and other topics. They both expressed their commitment to strengthening information sharing, co-hosting events, and facilitating business matchmaking, thereby jointly building practical cooperation platforms for enterprises in Beijing and Thailand.
BCIC formally signed cooperation agreements with the Thai-Beijing Chamber of Commerce and the CTAB Attorneys Association, further expanding its network of partner business associations in Thailand.
Promoting Beijing’s Strengths and Attracting Thai Enterprises to Invest and Grow in Beijing
The delegation also visited leading Thai companies, including CP Group, TCP Group, and Amata Corporation. Huang Weiwei, Chief China Strategic Development and Cooperation Officer of CP Group and Senior Vice Chairman of CP Group China; Arjaree Suwangool, Director of Corporate Affairs & Communications Department at TCP Group; and Xu Weitao, General Manager of CSCEC International Asia Pacific, participated in respective activities. The delegation promoted Beijing’s business environment and industrial strengths and encouraged Thai business delegations to visit Beijing and explore investment and cooperation opportunities. Representatives of the participating enterprises highlighted Beijing’s products and industrial strengths in intelligent manufacturing, the digital economy, artificial intelligence, healthcare, low-carbon development, and other fields, and encouraged Thai enterprises to expand their production footprint in Beijing. The delegation also invited Thai business associations to organize business delegations to Beijing and jointly hold economic and trade matchmaking events in the city. It reached consensus with the Thai-Chinese Economic and Investment Institute and the Thai-Beijing Chamber of Commerce on arranging such visits to Beijing.
Going forward, CCPIT Beijing and BCIC will continue to serve as a bridge, leveraging the existing cooperation mechanisms and communication channels to promote economic and trade exchanges between Beijing and Thailand, and support enterprises from both sides in achieving mutually beneficial and coordinated development.
