On the morning of August 19, a delegation led by Jin Xu, President of the China Association of International Trade (CAIT), visited CCPIT Beijing and the Beijing Association of International Economy and Trade (BAIET). The two sides held discussions on deepening think tank cooperation, promoting the high-quality development of the associations, and supporting the development of Beijing’s open economy. Tang Haijiao, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing and President of BAIET, attended the meeting.
The delegation first toured the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center Planning Exhibition Hall to learn about the Center’s overall planning and gain first-hand insights into its progress. The visit provided an opportunity to experience the unfolding vision of this “project of millennial significance and national importance”. Encouraged by what they saw, the participants said that they would further heighten their political awareness, actively leverage the role of applied think tanks for international economic and trade affairs, and contribute to the capital’s development in the new era.
Jin Xu noted that CAIT will align its work with the new development paradigm featuring dual circulation and leverage its platform and resources to strengthen partnerships with CCPIT Beijing and BAIET, aiming to help Beijing-based enterprises expand more effectively into international markets. Tang Haijiao said that CCPIT Beijing and BAIET will focus on Beijing’s strategic positioning, actively connect with CAIT'S high-quality resources, and jointly establish high-level platforms for economic and trade exchanges. The two sides will pursue practical cooperation in areas such as research projects and signature events, further contributing to the capital’s high-standard opening-up.
