The “Connecting the World, Investing in Beijing, Sharing the Future” Event Series: Special Session for the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce was successfully held on June 8. Richard Muir, Deputy Chief Executive of the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, led a delegation on a study visit to BAIC International Development Co., Ltd. (“BAIC International”), where they exchanged views with selected member enterprises of the Beijing Chamber of Commerce for Medical Devices.
BAIC International delivered a presentation on the Group’s industrial layout, new-energy vehicle (NEV) portfolio, and supporting industry chain services. Based on the UK's NEV market demand and industry landscape, representatives of the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce held in-depth discussions with BAIC International on practical cooperation opportunities, including NEV procurement, technology sharing, and implementation of industrial projects.
At the medical device matchmaking session, seven Beijing-based enterprises, including Lakh Medical Instrument, Vistel, and Geneplus Technology, introduced their business operations, technological products, and overseas expansion plans by turns. They engaged in substantive discussions with the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce on practical cooperation opportunities and reached a consensus on future partnerships, laying a solid foundation for deeper engagement between Glasgow and Beijing in the medical device sector.
CCPIT Beijing will continue to continue to leverage its unique role in connecting government and enterprises, linking domestic and international markets, and facilitating supply-demand matchmaking. Through the “Connecting the World, Investing in Beijing, Sharing the Future” event series, it will build international matchmaking platforms to routinely introduce high-quality overseas business resources to Beijing while helping leading enterprises in intelligent manufacturing, NEVs, biomedicine, and other sectors establish partnerships with potential overseas counterparts, thereby empowering their global development.
