On the afternoon of June 2, 2026, the Roundtable on UK Market Expansion for Beijing-Based New-Energy Enterprises was successfully held by the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) and CCPIT Beijing.
Representatives from the CBBC, the London Stock Exchange, the Welsh Government, and the Beijing Branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China shared insights on topics including the UK investment environment, the role of capital markets in empowering enterprise development, and opportunities in Wales’ solar and energy storage sectors. Representatives from nine representative enterprises—BAIC International, Goldwind, Ming Yang Smart Energy, Hiconics Technology, Tidelion Science and Innovation, Zhongchu Guoneng, Deepcarbon, Sinohytec, and Ligong Liqiang—introduced their overseas business development at the meeting.
During the discussion session, representatives of Beijing-based enterprises, drawing on their respective technological strengths, engaged in in-depth exchanges with UK counterparts on issues such as the UK market policy environment, localized operations, and cooperation models. The UK representatives responded to the enterprises’ specific concerns regarding market access requirements, key compliance considerations, and support mechanisms in the local capital market, while also offering practical recommendations for tangible cooperation based on the latest UK policies.
The roundtable provided an efficient platform for exchange and business matchmaking between Beijing-based new-energy enterprises and UK institutions. It further enhanced participating enterprises’ understanding of the UK’s new-energy market landscape and policy trends, and laying a solid foundation for advancing practical cooperation between Beijing and the UK in the field of green energy.
