On the morning of June 1, Li Xiangying, Chairperson of CCPIT Beijing, met with a delegation led by Mihai Daraban, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR). The meeting was attended by Ovidiu Silaghi, Secretary General of CCIR, senior representatives of CCIR, and the heads of relevant departments from both sides.
Mihai Daraban introduced CCIR’s service system and flagship events, and provided an overview of Romania’s economic and industrial development. He expressed his hope to further strengthen cooperation with CCPIT Beijing and jointly promote economic and trade relations as well as two-way investment between Romania and China.
Li Xiangying welcomed the delegation and briefed them on the development achievements of the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center over the past decade. She noted that, as a public service institution dedicated to promoting international trade and investment, CCPIT Beijing highly values Romania’s distinctive advantages as a “golden gateway” for Chinese enterprises seeking access to the EU market. CCPIT Beijing will continue to leverage its role in “connecting government and enterprises, linking domestic and international markets, and facilitating supply-demand matchmaking”, to build a bridge for exchange and cooperation between the business communities of Beijing and Romania. She expressed her hope that CCPIT Beijing and CCIR would work together to better serve enterprises on both sides, consolidate the positive momentum in trade cooperation, deepen two-way investment, and expand cooperation in the MICE sector, thereby opening a new chapter in bilateral economic and trade relations.
