2026-5-28 15:34:53

From May 20 to 21, CCPIT Beijing held in Daxing District its 2026 specialized training on the certificates of origin for international trade. Focusing on the implementation of free trade agreements (FTAs) such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), the training provided targeted support to address key challenges faced by enterprises, including irregularities in certificate-of-origin applications, underutilization of preferential policies, and prominent compliance risks. More than 170 representatives from trade promotion agencies, cross-border traders, and service providers across Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei participated in the training, which effectively enhanced regional enterprises’ practical capabilities in international trade and operational compliance.

The training featured a strong emphasis on professionalism and practical application. Authoritative experts from the CCPIT Trade Development and Cooperation Center and Beijing Customs were invited to deliver systematic presentations on non-preferential and preferential rules of origin, the full application process through the China International Trade Single Window, the application of preferential rules of origin under RCEP and other FTAs, typical cases of tariff preference utilization, and FAQs. Their guidance helped enterprises make effective use of tariff reduction and exemption policies. The training also brought together commercial legal service professionals from CCPIT Tianjin and CCPIT Hebei, as well as representatives from local enterprises, promoting resource sharing in commercial certification services and coordinated business development across the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

A symposium on RCEP rules of origin was held alongside the event. Participating enterprise representatives exchanged views on challenges encountered in implementing relevant rules and applying for certificates of origin, while offering suggestions based on their operational experience.

In recent years, CCPIT Beijing has continuously upgraded its “Internet + Government Services” model, enabling fully online processing and intelligent review of certificates of origin. In the first four months of 2026, 13,000 certificates of origin were issued, up 26% YoY. Going forward, CCPIT Beijing will continue to conduct regular enterprise empowerment training, deepen trade promotion coordination across Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, and support the high-quality development of cross-border trade through high-quality commercial certification services.
