On the afternoon of May 18, CCPIT Beijing held the Romania Economic and Trade Seminar, chaired by Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing. Among the attendees were Sorin Toader, Director General of the Foreign Trade Department within Romanian Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade; Eliza Statina, Deputy Director General of the Department; and Daniel Necula, Deputy Head of Mission at the Romanian Embassy in China.
Sorin Toader introduced Romania’s economic developments and key industries, highlighting the broad prospects for trade cooperation and two-way investment between Romania and China. He expressed hope that both sides would work together to elevate bilateral trade and investment cooperation to a new level.
Representatives from companies including Kr Star Innovation, Beijing Minli Energy Storage Tech Co., Ltd., AIForceTech, and iSoftStone Information Technology (Group) Co., Ltd. introduced their business operations and development needs. They also engaged in pragmatic discussions on potential cooperation projects in fields such as agriculture, energy, and software.
Zhu Jialiang stated that, as a public service agency dedicated to promoting international trade and investment, CCPIT Beijing will continue to leverage its role in “connecting government and enterprises, linking domestic and international markets, and facilitating supply-demand matchmaking”. He noted that CCPIT Beijing will make full use of Romania’s position as a “golden gateway” for Chinese enterprises entering the EU market and Beijing’s role as a “core hub” for Romanian enterprises seeking opportunities in China, thereby building a bridge for exchanges and cooperation between the business communities of the two countries. Both sides are expected to work together to deepen two-way investment, expand exhibition and branding efforts, and strengthen technological innovation, with the aim of opening a new chapter in high-quality cooperation.
