On the morning of April 16, 2026, Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, met with Suheyl Baybali, Vice President of the Turkish-Chinese Business Development and Friendship Association. The two sides held in-depth discussions on leveraging Turkey’s role as a bridge between Asia and Europe and Beijing’s strengths in technological innovation to promote two-way investment under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
Suheyl Baybali introduced overview of the Association and the current development of Chinese enterprises in Turkey. He noted that the Association is committed to promoting bilateral investment and trade and supporting enterprises in expanding into each other’s markets. As an international center for science and technology innovation, Beijing is well positioned to meet Turkey’s industrial upgrading needs. With China-Turkey economic and trade cooperation entering a new stage of opportunity, the Association looks forward to strengthening ties with CCPIT Beijing, aligning Beijing’s strengths in technological innovation with Turkey’s market potential. and jointly exploring new drivers for in two-way investment growth.
Zhu Jialiang welcomed Suheyl Baybali and his delegation, and outlined the roles and achievements of CCPIT Beijing and the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce in advancing international economic and trade cooperation and supporting enterprises in expanding overseas. He invited the Association to organize delegations to participate in major events hosted by CCPIT Beijing, including the China Beijing International High-tech Expo and the Beijing International Investment and Trade Conference. He stated that Turkey is not only a transcontinental hub linking Asia and Europe but also as an important partner under the BRI. Building on the friendly and cooperative relationship between CCPIT Beijing and the Association, he expressed the hope that this meeting will strengthen regular communication, help address challenges faced by enterprises through resource sharing and jointly organized activities, and promote deeper and more substantive economic cooperation between Beijing and Turkey.
