BAIET Successfully Holds 2025 Conference and Beijing International Economic and Trade Lecture

On March 31, the Beijing Academy of International Economy and Trade (BAIET) successfully held its 2025 Conference and Beijing International Economic and Trade Lecture. Tang Haijiao, Vice Chairman and First-Level Inspector of CCPIT Beijing and President of BAIET, delivered a work report. Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, also addressed the conference. Over 80 BAIET members and corporate representatives attended the event.

In his remarks, Zhu Jialiang noted that over the past year, BAIET has made significant achievements in think tank development, economic and trade training, and the integration of resources from the government, industry, academia, and research institutes. He expressed his hope that BAIET would further enhance its role in policy advice and enterprise support, strengthen its function as a bridge, and further consolidate its development foundation. He also looked encouraged members and experts to leverage their expertise and industry experience to contribute to the capital’s open development.

The conference reviewed and approved BAIET's 2025 work report, financial report, and personnel adjustments, summarizing key achievements in 2025 and outlining development strategy and priorities for 2026. Tang Haijiao stated that in 2026, BAIET would further strengthen its policy and academic research, build its core brand, enrich economic and trade exchanges, improve membership services, and combine forces for the high-quality development of the capital's international economic and trade sector.

The Beijing International Economic and Trade Lecture, themed "Focusing on the New Economic and Trade Landscape and Exploring New Development Opportunities", featured four distinguished experts: Zhu Zhaoyi, a renowned scholar in Middle Eastern studies and geo-economics; Yin Jun, Vice President and Secretary General of the Beijing Foreign Cultural Trade Association; Shao Hui, Secretary General of the Beijing Digital Trade Association; and Wang Ying, Executive Vice Dean of the Academy of China Open Economy Studies at the University of International Business and Economics. They delivered presentations on hot topics including international geo-economics, services for cross-border traders, the one-person company (OPC) entrepreneurship ecosystem, and the development of Beijing as an international consumption center, offering attendees forward-looking insights and practical guidance.
