On the morning of March 12, Chairperson Li Xiangying of CCPIT Beijing received a delegation led by Yan Shiying, Party Secretary of Shifang City. Through in-depth discussions, the two sides reached consensus on strengthening exchanges and cooperation between Beijing and Shifang, and advancing the implementation of this year’s key tasks. Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing and Vice President & Secretary General of the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce (BCIC), attended the meeting along with officials from both sides.
Yan Shiying outlined the achievements of the Beijing-Shifang Exchange and Cooperation Association in 2025, its work plan for 2026, and Shifang’s county-level socioeconomic developments. She also expressed her appreciation for the long-standing assistance and support provided by Beijing and CCPIT Beijing to Shifang. The two sides discussed several priority matters, including the 2026 work plan of the Beijing-Shifang Exchange and Cooperation Association, the proposed visit of BCIC member enterprises to Shifang, and Shifang’s participation in major events such as the 28th China Beijing International High-Tech Expo (CHITEC) and the 31st Macao International Trade and Investment Fair. They also clarified the pathways and measures to advance these initiatives.
Li Xiangying stated that CCPIT Beijing will earnestly fulfill its responsibilities as the supervising body, enhance its guidance and support for the Beijing-Shifang Exchange and Cooperation Association, and promote the Association’s efficient and standardized operation. CCPIT Beijing will also carefully organize inspection tours and business matchmaking activities in Shifang for member enterprises to support local investment promotion and industrial upgrading. In addition, it will actively assist Shifang-based enterprises in participating in major trade fairs in Beijing, including CHITEC, by facilitating exhibition arrangements and building platforms for collaboration among industry, academia, and research institutes.
Both sides agreed that cooperation between Beijing and Shifang rests on a solid foundation. They affirmed their commitment to further enhancing political awareness, strengthening coordinated action, carrying forward the longstanding friendship underpinning Beijing-Shifang partnership, and constantly deepening economic and trade exchanges, industrial collaboration, and resource sharing. Through concrete and results-oriented measures, they aim to deliver tangible outcomes across all areas of cooperation, thereby making greater contributions to coordinated regional development and high-quality growth.
