Beijing Economic and Trade Delegation Visits Turkey to Deepen Pragmatic Cooperation Between Business Communities

From February 7 to 8, 2026, an economic and trade delegation led by CCPIT Beijing Chairperson Li Xiangying visited Istanbul, Turkey. Through a series of intensive engagements, the delegation promoted targeted business matchmaking and explored cooperation opportunities in intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence, technological innovation, and related sectors with local partners.

Symposium: Strengthening Friendship and Mutual Trust, and Consolidating Reinforce the Foundation for Cooperation

On the morning of February 7, CCPIT Chairman Ren Hongbin held friendly talks with leaders of the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD) and the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEİK). Li Xiangying also attended the symposium. The discussions unfolded in a candid, dynamic, and highly constructive atmosphere. Both sides agreed that China and Turkey enjoy strong economic complementarity and broad prospects for cooperation.

Ren Hongbin stated that China stands ready to further deepen practical collaboration with Turkey across a wide range of fields and to advance the alignment between the Belt and Road Initiative and Turkey’s national development strategy. He also highlighted the leading industries of Beijing and other municipalities and provinces, and extended a sincere invitation to the Turkish side to pursue targeted engagement and expand mutually beneficial cooperation.

Economic and Trade Forum: Forging Development Consensus and Jointly Charting a Blueprint for Collaboration

The 3rd China-Türkiye Business Conference was successfully held on the afternoon of February 7, attracting more than 300 distinguished guests from China and abroad. Speakers included Turkey’s Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, CCPIT Chairman Ren Hongbin, Chinese Ambassador to Turkey Jiang Xuebin, and DEİK President Nail Olpak.

During the Conference, Li Xiangying exchanged views with representatives of the Turkish business community on technology-driven value creation and pragmatic cooperation in tourism, aviation, energy, and other sectors. At the event, CCPIT Beijing and the Turkish-Chinese Business Development and Friendship Association signed a friendly cooperation agreement, committing to substantive collaboration in areas such as organizing reciprocal business delegations and participating in the China Beijing International High-tech Expo (CHITEC).

During the business matchmaking session, members of the Beijing delegation—including Beiqi Foton Motor, China Machinery Engineering Corporation, BDA Chamber of Commerce for Innovative Tech Companies, and Offcn Education Technology—held discussions with institutions including the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye and the Turkish-Chinese Business Development and Friendship Association, further reinforcing the foundation and expanding the avenues for partnership.

Business Engagement: Precision Matchmaking to Advance Practical Cooperation

To accelerate the implementation of cooperation intentions, a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs held two “Chinese-Funded Enterprise Workshops” in Turkey from February 7 to the morning of February 8. The workshops brought together economic experts and representatives of financial institutions to explore pathways for cooperation. Representatives from the Bank of China and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China provided on-site consultations, offering professional guidance on overseas investment practices and risk mitigation, and tailoring financial service solutions to support pragmatic cooperation between Chinese and Turkish enterprises. The BDA Chamber of Commerce for Innovative Tech Companies and Offcn Education Technology were invited to attend the workshops. They shared practical insights on the global expansion of technology enterprises and the international cooperation in vocational education. They also conducted in-depth discussions on leveraging local resources to expand market presence and deepen industrial synergy between China and Turkey.

Field Visits: Learning from Proven Experience to Empower Global Expansion

On the afternoon of February 8, the Beijing delegation visited the Turkey branches of Hikvision and BYD to gain firsthand knowledge of their localized operations and market development strategies. As outstanding enterprises with a solid foothold in Turkey and an expanding presence in the broader European market, Hikvision and BYD offer valuable practical experience and operational models for Beijing-based companies pursuing overseas expansion and international growth.

Building on the outcomes of this visit, CCPIT Beijing will continue to support local enterprises in deepening their presence in Turkey and neighboring markets, broadening their development horizons, and contributing to the stability and advancement of global industrial and supply chains.
