Liu Yang, First-Level Inspector of CCPIT Beijing, and Zhang Xiufeng, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing and Vice President of BCIC, attended the meeting with representatives from the Society Work Department of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee. The meeting was also attended by more than 200 delegates from BCIC’s Vice President, Executive Director, and Director entities, including the Beijing Branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited, Beijing Energy Holding Co., Ltd., and Sanofi (China) Investment Co., Ltd.
At the meeting, the BCIC 2025 Work Report was reviewed and approved along with four regulations, namely the BCIC Compensation Management Measures (Trial), the BCIC Contract Management Measures (Trial), the BCIC Specialized Committee Management Measures (Revised), and the BCIC Disclosure Policy. Other resolutions included the addition and adjustment of Vice President, Executive Director, Director, and member entities; the appointment and reassignment of the Deputy Secretary General, the Chief Supervisor, and supervisors; as well as the admission of new members and the removal of certain existing ones. Plaques were presented to three newly established committees dedicated respectively to pharmaceuticals and health, artificial intelligence, and specialized and sophisticated enterprises.
During the International Economic and Trade Resources Promotion Session, the Dubai Chambers, the China-Britain Business Council, and the Ethiopia-China Friendship and Cooperation Committee introduced the investment environments of their respective country/region. Presentations were also given by the Beijing Branch of China Construction Bank and enterprises such as Capital Industry and Beijing Linkong Huimin Cultural Communication Co., Ltd. These speeches highlighted BCIC’s role as a platform for promoting resource integration and sharing and for assisting enterprises in expanding into international markets.
Zhang Jianwei stated that in 2025, BCIC fully aligned its efforts with Beijing’s and China’s agenda for external engagement, while staying oriented toward enterprise needs. It established a multi-tiered platform for international economic and trade promotion, thereby organizing high-end events, showcasing the capital’s business environment, mobilizing enterprises to participate in economic and trade activities at home and abroad, and helping its members expand into overseas markets and identify new opportunities for cooperation. In addition, BCIC strengthened policy interpretation and professional skill empowerment to help enterprises mitigate operational risks and enhance their competitiveness. It advanced the “Beijing Brands Going Global” initiative and facilitated group-based overseas expansion for cross-border traders. Furthermore, BCIC deepened government-enterprise communication and industry coordination, enhanced services for foreign investment, efficiently responded to corporate concerns, promoted the improvement of the business environment, and combined efforts in industry development—thus contributing to Beijing’s high-standard opening-up and high-quality development.
Zhang Jianwei also emphasized that 2026 marks the opening year of the 15th Five-Year Plan. At this new starting point, it is imperative to further strengthen the senses of responsibility and mission, and focus on key tasks while driving all work to a higher level. BCIC should uphold the Party’s leadership and firmly adhere to the principle that “to understand Beijing, one must first view it through a political lens”, striving to build a chamber of commerce with Beijing characteristics. BCIC should also maintain a global outlook and constantly expand our international network, remain demand-driven and extend our services to targeted enterprises, and reinforce internal development to lay a solid foundation. In 2026, BCIC will continue to uphold its vision of being “distinctly Beijing and world-class”. By aligning with major national economic and trade strategies and Beijing’s priorities, it will actively contribute to the capital’s high-standard opening-up and high-quality economic development.
Preceding the event was the 1st Meeting of the 4th BCIC Executive Council. At the meeting, the participants reviewed the 2025 work report, deliberated on the 2026 work plan, examined and approved the preparatory plans for and initiating entities of the three specialized committees, thus successfully concluding all items on the agenda.
