On the morning of January 27, Liu Yang, First-Level Inspector of CCPIT Beijing, visited Informa Exhibitions (Beijing) Ltd. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on supporting enterprises in expanding into international markets and advancing cooperation to promote the international MICE industry. Relevant officials from CCPIT Beijing’s Department of Trade and Investment Promotion and the Department of International Exhibition attended the meeting.
Liu Yang noted that the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and the municipal government have attached great importance to the high-quality development of the MICE industry. In recent years, Beijing has constantly improved its MICE infrastructure and business environment, encouraging and supporting renowned overseas organizers to host branded exhibitions in the city. These efforts have helped promote bilateral/multilateral trade exchanges and cooperation, injecting strong momentum into the city’s socioeconomic development. Assisting enterprises in going global is one of the priorities of CCPIT Beijing and the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce. Leveraging international exhibition platforms to showcase Beijing’s leading enterprises, products, and industrial parks and to promote higher-quality, efficient two-way trade and investment represents an important avenue for deepening cooperation between the two sides. CCPIT Beijing will give full play to its trade promotion functions and its distinctive strengths in connecting government and enterprises, linking domestic and international markets, and facilitating supply-demand matchmaking. Working together with Informa Exhibitions, CCPIT Beijing aims to build professional and international service platforms for enterprises. Liu Yang also introduced CCPIT Beijing’s flagship events such as the China Beijing International High-tech Expo (CHITEC) and the Beijing International Investment and Trade Conference (BIIT). He sincerely invited Informa Exhibitions to participate in these events to jointly explore cooperation opportunities and promote industrial upgrading.
Wei Wei, General Manager of Informa Exhibitions (Beijing), presented an overview of the company’s overall development, branch network, and key business segments. He stated that the company would closely align with Beijing’s development plans for pillar industries, and leverage its own expertise and premium resources in B2B exhibition planning and digital operations. Focusing on key sectors such as pharmaceuticals and healthcare, green energy, technological innovation, and consumption promotion, and using major exhibition projects as anchors, the company will actively support Beijing-based enterprises in expanding into international markets through multiple channels. Wei Wei expressed his expectation to work with CCPIT Beijing to introduce high-end international MICE resources into Beijing, further broaden the scope of Sino-foreign cooperation in the MICE industry, promote two-way circulation and efficient matchmaking of MICE resources, and contribute to the high-quality development of Beijing’s MICE industry.
