On January 23, Zhang Jianwei, Secretary of Party Leadership Group of CCPIT Beijing, led a delegation to the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) for discussions with its Secretary-General Jia Shen on supporting the organization’s development in Beijing and strengthening bilateral cooperation. Tang Haijiao, Vice Chairman and First-Level Inspector of CCPIT Beijing, attended the meeting, along with officials from relevant departments of both sides and representatives from the Dongcheng District Bureau of Justice.
Jia Shen expressed his appreciation to CCPIT Beijing for its strong support since ICDPASO’s establishment. He outlined the organization’s background, development progress, and operational framework, and conveyed his expectations for deeper collaboration in areas including the handling of inaugural cases, the building of high-end think tanks, the co-development of branded events, and the enhancement of international competitiveness. By leveraging one-stop mechanisms for dispute resolution, commercial mediation, and commercial arbitration, ICDPASO seeks to offer international commercial legal services to enterprises and to help position Beijing as a preferred venue for resolving international commercial disputes.
Zhang Jianwei noted that ICDPASO is an international organization initiated and promoted by CCPIT. Since its establishment, ICDPASO has actively advanced international exchanges and cooperation in the commercial field, making positive contributions to Beijing’s economic development and high-standard opening-up. He emphasized that CCPIT Beijing will continue to support ICDPASO’s development in Beijing by strengthening coordination, liaison, and service support. It looks forward to deepening cooperation with ICDPASO in areas such as participation in major events including the China Beijing International High-Tech Expo (CHITEC) and the Beijing International Investment and Trade Conference (BIIT), building high-end international exchange platforms, expanding international commercial legal services, and cultivating a trade promotion and commercial law brand. These efforts will further strengthen CCPIT Beijing’s international commercial legal service system, support the development of the “Two Zones”, and contribute to Beijing’s goal of becoming an international commercial arbitration center.
