On the afternoon of January 15, Liu Yang, First-Level Inspector of CCPIT Beijing, met with a visiting delegation led by Liu Boyuan, President of the Chinese-Slovak Chamber of Commerce (CHSCC). The two sides held discussions on further strengthening communication and advancing pragmatic cooperation. The meeting was attended by Lukas Merga, China representative of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO), and Lucia Škvareninová, Economic Counselor of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Beijing.

Liu Yang noted that the CHSCC serves as a bridge for China-Slovakia engagement by supporting enterprises and facilitating bilateral cooperation. As a new force in economic and trade exchanges, the CHSCC is expected to play an active role in promoting Beijing’s business environment, market opportunities, and development potential, thereby encouraging more Slovak enterprises and institutions to invest in and establish a presence in Beijing. He added that CCPIT Beijing plays a distinctive role in connecting government and enterprises, linking domestic and international markets, and facilitating supply-demand matchmaking. It will work closely with the CHSCC to provide enterprises with professional services. During the meeting, CCPIT Beijing introduced key events it organized, including the China Beijing International High-tech Expo (CHITEC), the Beijing International Investment and Trade Conference (BIIT), and the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), and invited relevant Slovak enterprises and institutions to participate.

Lukas Merga presented an overview of Slovakia’s economic landscape, key industrial distribution, investment opportunities, and the current status of China–Slovakia trade cooperation. He expressed his hope to deepen collaboration with China in areas including import and export, two-way investment, and technological innovation, while supporting Chinese enterprises in entering the Slovak market through supply-demand matchmaking and the establishment of local operations.

Liu Boyuan introduced the CHSCC’s activities in China, and stated that the Chamber will strengthen communication and cooperation with CCPIT Beijing to create more business opportunities for enterprises from both countries and to deepen economic and trade exchanges.
