On the morning of January 15, 2026, a CCPIT Beijing delegation led by Zhang Jianwei, Secretary of Party Leadership Group, visited Électricité de France (EDF) and met with Jean-Philippe Lamarcade, Vice President of EDF and President of EDF China. Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, and Valerie Salviac Dijkstra, Vice President of EDF China, attended the meeting, along with department heads from both sides.
During the meeting, Jean-Philippe Lamarcade outlined EDF’s strategic deployment in China and its operations in Beijing. He expressed his gratitude for the long-standing support from CCPIT Beijing, and reaffirmed that EDF would continue to fulfill its role as a member of the International Business Leaders Advisory Council for the Mayor of Beijing (IBLAC). He stated that EDF will continue to support the initiatives of CCPIT Beijing and IBLAC, deepen its presence in the Chinese market, advance China’s energy transition, and contribute to the high-quality development of Beijing’s green energy industry.
Zhang Jianwei noted that CCPIT Beijing would continue to capitalize on its strengths in connecting government and enterprises, linking domestic and international markets, and facilitating supply-demand matchmaking, thereby offering concierge-style services tailored to enterprise needs and supporting EDF in expanding investment and achieving long-term growth in Beijing. He expressed the hope that EDF would make full use of economic and trade platforms, including the China International Supply Chain Expo (CIFTIS) and the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CHITEC), as well as bilateral and multilateral cooperation mechanisms, to leverage its global reach, strengthen China-France economic and trade ties, and promote two-way investment and collaboration in the energy sector.
