On January 5, 2026, a CCPIT Beijing delegation, led by Secretary of Party Leadership Group Zhang Jianwei and Chairperson Li Xiangying, paid a research visit to the China International Association for Promotion of Science and Technology (CIAPST). The delegation held in-depth discussions with CIAPST President Duan Miyi on leveraging premium resources, expanding international channels, and deepening strategic cooperation. Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, attended the meeting together with the heads of relevant departments.
Duan Miyi extended a warm welcome to the CCPIT Beijing delegation and provided an overview of CIAPST’s organizational positioning, core functions, and key achievements. As a national first-tier social organization, CIAPST has long focused on international science and technological exchange, commercialization of research findings, and the development and promotion of standards. By bringing together a large number of leading scientific and technological talent and industry resources, CIAPST has accumulated extensive experience in advancing the integration of technology and economy, as well as in strengthening international cooperation. Duan Miyi expressed his expectation that CIAPST and CCPIT Beijing would capitalize on their respective strengths to deepen cooperation in areas including the co-organization of technology exhibitions, the alignment of international resources, and the empowerment of industrial innovation, thereby jointly creating a broader platform to support the high-quality development of technological industries.
Zhang Jianwei outlined the functional positioning and premium resources of CCPIT Beijing, highlighting its important role in facilitating high-standard opening-up, promoting China-foreign economic and trade cooperation, and building international exhibition and convention platforms. He noted the strong alignment and complementarities between CCPIT Beijing and CIAPST in terms of resources and development objectives. For example, the China Beijing International High-tech Expo, endorsed by CCPIT Beijing, relies on the active participation of social forces and should be further advanced in line with the principles of specialization, market orientation, industrialization, and internationalization. He expressed the hope that both sides would integrate their premium resources to establish a routine cooperation mechanism, and jointly cultivate a high-end exhibition and convention platform. Through pragmatic collaboration in areas including the showcasing and commercialization of technological achievements, international technological exchange and cooperation, and industrial and talent linkages, the two sides can promote the deep integration of technology and industry, contributing to the development of Beijing as an international science and technology innovation center and to the coordinated advancement of the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region.
