On the afternoon of December 24, a delegation from CCPIT Beijing, led by Secretary of Party Leadership Group Zhang Jianwei and Chairperson Li Xiangying, visited Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (BPAFFC) and met with Wang Yu, Secretary of Party Leadership Group of BPAFFC. CCPIT Beijing Vice Chairman Zhu Jialiang and BPAFFC Vice Chairmen Wu Bing and Jiao Yutong attended the meeting together with department heads from both sides.
Wang Yu noted that BPAFFC is committed to proactively establishing international exchange mechanisms, broadening the scope of engagement, and expanding areas of cooperation, with a view to fostering mutual understanding and friendship between the people of Beijing and those of capital cities and regions around the world. He expressed the hope of strengthening communication and coordination with CCPIT Beijing to build a more extensive network of people-to-people exchanges in the capital.
Zhang Jianwei stated that, as a bridge linking domestic and international business communities, CCPIT Beijing is committed to building platforms for international trade and investment cooperation as well as government-business communication. He expressed the hope that CCPIT Beijing and BPAFFC would leverage their distinctive functions and attractive resources to amplify the impact of the capital’s high-standard opening-up and create synergies between people-to-people diplomacy and economic and trade promotion, thereby jointly advancing Beijing's high-quality development.
