From December 2 to 3, a CCPIT Beijing delegation conducted a series of economic and trade exchanges in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, achieving substantive progress and reaching important cooperation agreements across multiple sectors.
Return visits to the Malaysia Pioneer Entrepreneurs Association (MPEA) to Expand Bilateral Economic and Trade Cooperation
On the first day, the delegation paid a return visit to the MPEA. Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing and Vice President & Secretary General of BCIC, met with Henry Lim, Vice President of the MPEA. In September 2025, during the China-ASEAN Expo, CCPIT Beijing and the MPEA signed an MoU on Friendly Cooperation. During this visit, both sides engaged in extensive exchanges on advancing industrial collaboration between Beijing and Malaysia in areas such as artificial intelligence, green energy, health care, halal food, and advanced manufacturing.
On the afternoon of December 2, CCPIT Beijing and the MPEA jointly hosted the China (Beijing)-Malaysia Business Matchmaking Session, attended by more than 30 enterprises across sectors including artificial intelligence, environmental technology, financial services, laser technology, CNC equipment, health care, legal services, building materials, and halal food. At the meeting, Yun Jing, Director General of the Huairou District Bureau of Commerce, gave a presentation on the district’s investment environment. Zhu Jialiang introduced Beijing’s overall business climate and invited Malaysian enterprises to participate in major conventions, exhibitions, and economic events in the capital, including the China International Supply Chain Expo, China International Fair for Trade in Services, and China Beijing International High-tech Expo. During the event, the Beijing Jingdu Shidai Science & Technology Center signed an agreement with the Malaysia International Durian Industry Development Association, while Beijing JTM International Food Co., Ltd. also reached handshake deals on deepening cooperation with SK Frozen Food Import & Export Sdn Bhd. and Fei Xiang Trading Sdn Bhd.
Visit to the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturing (FMM) and Local Enterprises from Beijing
On the morning of December 3, the delegation visited the FMM. Zhu Jialiang met with Tan Sri Dato’ Soh Thian Lai, President of the FMM, who warmly welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of FMM’s development. Based on the business profiles of its member companies, he expressed the hope of strengthening cooperation with Beijing authorities and enterprises in fields such as new energy, robotics, and halal food.
Zhu Jialiang expressed appreciation for FMM’s hospitality and thoughtful arrangements, introduced Beijing’s investment environment and the work of CCPIT Beijing, and emphasized the importance of enhancing mutual visits and exchanges. He noted that both sides should leverage their bridging role to constantly promote pragmatic and in-depth cooperation between enterprises in Beijing and Malaysia.
Later in the afternoon, the delegation visited BUCE (M) SDN. BHD. and Peking Tongrentang (M) Sdn Bhd. The two companies shared their long-standing experience and best practices in operating in Malaysia and offered practical recommendations for Chinese enterprises seeking overseas expansion. The delegation commended their achievements and expressed its expectation for their robust development in the Malaysian market.
During their stay in Malaysia, the delegation also visited Mah Sing Group and the Federation of Hokkien Associations of Malaysia to gain insights into Malaysia’s investment policies and business environment. Member enterprises of the two organizations were invited to participate in major economic and trade events hosted by Beijing in 2026.
