On December 10, Zhang Jianwei, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of CCPIT Beijing and President of the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce, and Li Xiangying, Chairperson of CCPIT Beijing, led a delegation to Changping District for a symposium with Liu Xiaodong, Governor of Changping District and Director of the Future Science City Administrative Committee. The discussions focused on international investment promotion and trade facilitation. Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairperson of CCPIT Beijing; Liu Qiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Changping District Committee and Vice Governor of Changping District; and heads of relevant departments also attended the meeting.
Prior to the meeting, the CCPIT Beijing delegation visited TowardPi (Beijing) Medical Technology Ltd, located in the International Medical Device Park, for an on-site visit of the company’s ophthalmic diagnostic equipment. The delegation learned about the company’s product research and development, manufacturing and operations, commercialization of research achievements, business expansion, and overseas market development.
At the meeting, Liu Xiaodong briefed participants on Changping District’s socioeconomic development. He noted that Changping is accelerating the development of three hundred-billion-yuan industrial clusters—biopharmaceuticals and healthcare, advanced energy, and advanced manufacturing—and has entered a critical stage of leapfrog development. He expressed the hope that CCPIT Beijing would provide stronger guidance and support in areas such as building platforms for attracting foreign investment, facilitating engagement with international organizations, enhancing internationalized service capacity, and increasing the district’s global visibility.
Zhang Jianwei stated that CCPIT Beijing would leverage its unique role as a bridge in "connecting government and enterprises, linking domestic and international markets, and facilitating supply-demand matchmaking." By expanding channels, building platforms, and optimizing services, CCPIT Beijing will focus on key areas including international trade and investment promotion, international exhibitions and conventions, and services supporting enterprises in going global. Through precise alignment with Changping’s needs and concrete measures, CCPIT Beijing will assist the district in advancing high-standard opening-up and high-quality development.
