From November 26 to 28 (local time), a CCPIT Beijing delegation carried out a series of economic and trade exchanges in Buenos Aires. Through visits to local trade and investment promotion agencies and business associations, inspections of key enterprises, and the hosting of business matchmaking sessions, the delegation reached consensus with its Argentine counterparts across multiple sectors. The visit laid a solid foundation for deepening Beijing–Argentina economic and trade cooperation and advancing the high-quality development of bilateral relations.
Building Bridges with Investment Promotion Agencies
On the afternoon of November 26, the delegation visited the Argentine Agency of Investment and International Trade (AAICI). As a key platform linking the Argentine government with foreign enterprises and recognized as the “Best Trade Promotion Agency in Latin America,” AAICI plays a significant role in helping domestic companies expand into global markets. During the meeting, both sides agreed that Beijing and Argentina have strong complementarities and vast cooperation potential across numerous fields. They expressed a shared commitment to leveraging their respective roles and international exchange platforms to elevate bilateral economic and trade cooperation to new heights.
Engaging Local Business Associations to Expand Partnership Networks
The delegation visited the Argentina-China Council and the Argentine Maritime Center, forging new partnerships while broadening channels for cooperation. It also came to the Argentina Chamber of Commerce for Asia and the Pacific and the Argentine Strategic Dialogue Foundation to reconnect with long-standing partners.
At the Argentina-China Council, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on advancing bilateral cultural exchanges and commercial cooperation. At the Argentine Maritime Center, the two parties reached broad consensus on strengthening cooperation in maritime transportation and logistics. At the Argentina Chamber of Commerce for Asia and the Pacific, both sides reviewed the achievements of their long-standing partnership and held substantive discussions on further deepening cooperation. During the meeting with the Argentine Strategic Dialogue Foundation, both sides explored opportunities for collaboration in youth innovation and talent development. CCPIT Beijing emphasized that it will continue to leverage its role as a bridge between enterprises and institutions, working with Argentine business associations to deepen economic and trade cooperation and jointly write a new chapter in China-Argentina commercial relations.
Inspecting Local Enterprises to Unlock Cooperation Potential
At Bedson, a leading Argentine company in the field of animal health, the delegation toured its R&D center and gained thorough insights into its product development system. Both sides held in-depth discussions on the R&D and collaboration on animal health products. They concurred that Bedson’s technological strengths align closely with Beijing’s strategic direction in agricultural technology, offering substantial room for collaboration. Both sides expressed interest in advancing practical cooperation in product R&D, technical exchanges, and other areas, to jointly promote the development of agricultural technology.
Advancing Practical Cooperation Through Trade Fair
On November 28, the Beijing-Argentina Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Fair, co-sponsored by CCPIT Beijing, the Argentina Chamber of Commerce for Asia and the Pacific, the Argentine Strategic Dialogue Foundation, and the ICBC Foundation—with support from Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Argentina) S.A.—was successfully held at the ICBC Building in Buenos Aires. The event was addressed by An Guanghui, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Argentina; Zhang Jianwei, Secretary of Party Leadership Group of CCPIT Beijing and President of the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce (BCIC); Rallies Pliauzer, President of the Argentina Chamber of Commerce for Asia and the Pacific; Ricardo Romero, the representative of the Argentine Strategic Dialogue Foundation; and Zhang Junguo, Chairman of ICBC Argentina.
In his remarks, An Guanghui pointed out that the event precisely addressed the development needs of enterprises from both countries, creating an efficient and pragmatic platform for business engagement. He added that continued support would be extended to deepen bilateral corporate cooperation, offering policy guidance and facilitative services to foster a new model of open, inclusive, and win-win international collaboration.
Zhang Jianwei outlined Beijing’s recent progress in building a high-standard open economy and optimizing its international business environment. He affirmed that CCPIT Beijing and the BCIC would continue to play a bridging role in promoting practical cooperation between Beijing and Argentina across broader fields and deeper levels. He welcomed Argentine companies to participate in platforms such as CHITEC to benefit from Beijing’s development opportunities.
Representatives from the Argentina Chamber of Commerce for Asia and the Pacific and the Argentine Strategic Dialogue Foundation noted that all sectors in Argentina highly value their economic and trade ties with Beijing, expressed their willingness to further strengthen their bridging role to promote substantive cooperation between companies from both sides.
During the investment promotion session, Changping District highlighted its industrial strengths and investment prospects. ICBC Argentina shared its practices and vision in supporting the real economy through financial services. The Argentine-Chinese Council introduced leading local industries and cooperation opportunities, providing clear investment guidance for participating enterprises.
At the signing ceremony, in the presence of attendees, the BCIC signed friendly cooperation agreements with the Argentine-Chinese Council, the Argentine Maritime Center, and the Argentina-China Business Association. BAIC signed an agreement with ADACHI Motors for the export of BAIC vehicles in 2026. Beijing Kr Star Innovation Information Technology also entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with the Latin American Center for Chinese Political and Economic Studies (CLEPEC, in Spanish).
The subsequent investment promotion and networking session was lively and productive, with professional Chinese–Spanish interpreting services ensuring seamless communication throughout the event. Representatives from both sides held in-depth, results-oriented one-on-one discussions across areas of mutual interest, resulting in multiple handshake deals.
This tightly scheduled and highly productive visit has yielded substantial results. CCPIT Beijing will continue to support China’s high-standard opening-up, enhance its bridging role to deepen pragmatic economic and trade cooperation between Beijing and Argentina, and help enterprises from both sides share in the opportunities and achieve win-win development, thus injecting new momentum into China–Argentina comprehensive strategic partnership.
