On November 19, Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing and Vice President & Secretary General of the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce (BCIC), received a delegation led by John Zhang, Vice President of the Associated Zong Xiang Chinese Chamber of Commerce Malaysia, and Datuk Chua Huai Gen, President of the Malaysia Swiftlet Nest Industry and Exporters Association and Chairman of Asiawalit Resources Sdn. Bhd. The two sides explored opportunities of cooperation on platforms for overseas training programs, agricultural trade, and other areas.
John Zhang outlined the Chamber’s resource network across various business associations in China and its overseas training platforms. He expressed his hopes to expand collaboration with CCPIT Beijing, share resources, and enhance economic and trade exchanges between Beijing and ASEAN countries.
Datuk Chua Huai Gen presented ongoing advancements of Malaysia’s edible bird’s nest industry in traceability systems, quality standards, and halal certification. He expressed his hope to showcase and promote Malaysia’s natural bird’s nest products through CCPIT Beijing’s economic and trade activities, helping high-quality Malaysian agricultural products access broader markets.
Zhu Jialiang noted that Beijing and Malaysia have strong potential for economic and trade collaboration, particularly in modern agriculture, healthcare, new energy, and construction. He expressed his hope to deepening routine engagement with Malaysian associations and enterprises to jointly promote economic and trade cooperation between Chinese and Malaysian businesses, as well as with ASEAN countries.
