On November 12, CCPIT Beijing held a symposium on improving the business environment for foreign investors. The symposium aims to strengthen CCPIT Beijing’s platform for communication between government and enterprises, promptly convey policy updates, learn about corporate concerns, fulfill the CCPIT Beijing’s role in representing businesses and offering policy recommendations, and assist foreign-funded enterprises in pursuing higher-quality and more sustainable development in the capital city. The meeting addressed challenges and pain points regarding corporate development and gathered opinions and suggestions from certain chambers of commerce and foreign-funded enterprises on improving the policy environment, facilitating investment, and enhancing service efficiency.
Representatives from the German Chamber of Commerce in China, SwissCham China, the Japanese Chamber Commerce and Industry in China, the Japan External Trade Organization, as well as eight foreign-funded enterprises namely Deloitte China, MSD R&D, Bayer, Mercedes-Benz, Cedrus Group, Kazakhstan’s Autokit, Ameco Beijing, and MSP Beijing attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by CCPIT Beijing Vice Chairman Zhu Jialiang.
Representatives from businesses and chambers of commerce commended Beijing’s efforts and achievements over the years in fostering a more favorable business environment, noting that the city has taken China’s lead in boosting policy transparency, rule of law, and government service efficiency, thereby providing strong support for the healthy and sustainable development of local enterprises. Meanwhile, they offered targeted recommendations in line with the actual situation, including strengthening intellectual property protection, improving talent recruitment and support mechanisms, enhancing administrative approval efficiency, and further facilitating exchanges within the Jing-Jin-Ji region. CCPIT Beijing will carefully consider these recommendations and promptly submit them to the relevant authorities.
