To deepen economic and trade cooperation between Beijing and Hunan and to promote industrial collaboration and market connectivity, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council (CCPIT Beijing) and the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce (BCIC) organized a business delegation to Changsha, Hunan, from October 26 to 28. During the visit, CCPIT Beijing and CCPIT Hunan jointly hosted the "Beijing-Hunan Cooperation: Joining Hands to Boost Trade" Matchmaking Conference and Member Enterprise Visit to Hunan, with support from the Beijing Office of the Hunan Provincial Government and the Hunan Chamber of Commerce in Beijing.
The delegation was led by Mr. Zhang Jianwei, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of CCPIT Beijing and President of BCIC. It brought together representatives from 17 foreign-invested enterprises, including AD Ports Group, Schneider Electric, CP Group, and Cedrus Group; four foreign companies such as Autokit (Kazakhstan) and Al Hammadi Holding (Saudi Arabia); and 13 Chinese companies including JD.com, Beijing Life, Huatian Group, and Beyondsoft. The participating companies represented key sectors such as advanced manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, and cross-border e-commerce.
During the intensive three-day visit, the delegation conducted eight focused thematic visits and matchmaking activities. They toured several representative enterprises and industrial parks, including the Hunan Big Data Exchange, Wangkun Pipe, Optosky, Foton Motor's Changsha Super Truck Plant, HKC Optoelectronics, Jiudian Pharmaceutical, and BODA, gaining firsthand insights into Hunan's industrial development trends and innovation ecosystem.
On the evening of October 27, the “Beijing–Hunan Cooperation: Joining Hands to Boost Trade” matchmaking conference and signing ceremony was held at the Huatian Hotel in Changsha. In his speech, Mr. Chen Zhuoyi, Deputy Director of the General Office of the People's Government of Hunan Province, noted that Beijing and Hunan enjoy highly complementary resources and vast potential for industrial collaboration. He expressed the hope that the two sides would further leverage Beijing's strengths in international engagement and technological innovation, together with Hunan's solid manufacturing foundation and industrial chain advantages, to elevate bilateral cooperation between the two regions to a new level.
Zhang Jianwei expressed his appreciation to relevant authorities in Hunan for their strong support. He noted that Hunan's solid industrial foundation and vibrant innovation ecosystem strongly complement Beijing's economic structure. He emphasized that CCPIT Beijing will continue play its role as a bridge in "connecting government and enterprises, linking domestic and international markets, and facilitating supply-demand matchmaking." It will further promote the deep integration of "Beijing Services" and "Beijing Innovation" with "Hunan Intelligent Manufacturing," helping enterprises expand cooperation and jointly explore global markets.
During the signing session, Al Hammadi Holding, Falcon Aerospace, and Beijing Aoxiang Power signed a tripartite cooperation agreement with a total investment of approximately USD 20 million. The partnership will focus on a full-chain cooperation involving the introduction of aviation power technologies and the establishment of overseas MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) lines. This project is a key outcome of CCPIT Beijing's "Biweekly Industry Matchmaking" mechanism, marking substantive progress in Beijing-Hunan cooperation under the dual strategies of "going global" and "bringing in."
By facilitating targeted matchmaking and promoting substantive cooperation, the event has laid a solid foundation for Beijing and Hunan to further expand collaboration and jointly build a robust industrial ecosystem. Moving forward, CCPIT Beijing will continue to enhance its service platforms, helping enterprises from both regions seize opportunities brought by the Belt and Road Initiative and jointly explore global markets.
