On the afternoon of October 30, the Q4 Exchange Meeting of the International Business Leaders Advisory Council for the Mayor of Beijing (IBLAC), along with a site visit to Mentougou District, was successfully held at the Western Beijing AI Valley. Attendees included Mr. Zhang Jianwei, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of CCPIT Beijing; Mr. Yu Huafeng, Secretary of the CPC Mentougou District Committee; and Mr. Lyu Ming, Acting District Mayor of Mentougou District. Also present were Mr. Tang Haijiao, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing; Mr. Cao Ziyang, Deputy District Mayor of Mentougou District; Mr. Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing; and Mr. Zhou Jian, Second-level Inspector of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform. The event brought together over 100 participants, including officials from the Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau and relevant commissions, bureaus, and offices in Mentougou District, senior executives from the Beijing offices of 38 IBLAC member companies and representatives of local enterprises.
In his welcome remarks, Mr. Lyu Ming highlighted that Mentougou District is an important part of Beijing's ecological conservation area and is now entering a phase of accelerated transition toward green and high-quality development. He expressed appreciation to CCPIT Beijing for organizing the visit, and encouraged IBLAC member companies to continue engaging with the district, explore opportunities, and provide ongoing support for future cooperation. Representatives from the Zhongguancun Mentougou Science Park presented an overview of the district's industrial development. Local enterprises, including Baheal Zhongxin Capital, Summer Sprout, and Ali Sports, also introduces their businesses.
In his remarks, Zhang Jianwei highlighted Mentougou's unique landscape appeal and its clear industrial positioning. He noted that CCPIT Beijing stands ready to support deeper cooperation between the district and IBLAC member companies. Mr. Zhang encouraged IBLAC members to remain actively engaged in Beijing's development, make full use of the city's strategic advantages, seize emerging market opportunities, and continue to expand their presence in Beijing and across China. He emphasized that CCPIT Beijing will continue to strengthen the functions of the IBLAC Secretariat, enrich its service portfolio, and upgrade service delivery, thereby providing more comprehensive and end-to-end services to member companies.
At the Meeting, representatives from the Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform gave a briefing on the city's economic and social development, in alignment with the agenda topics of the upcoming 17th IBLAC Meeting. Representatives from the Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau presented policies supporting the headquarters economy, including the Several Measures for Promoting the High-Quality Development of Headquarters Enterprises in Beijing. Representatives from CCPIT Beijing provided updates on the preparations for the 17th IBLAC Meeting and made arrangements regarding meeting logistics and communications.
Representatives of IBLAC member companies highly commended the IBLAC platform for its positive role in fostering deeper collaboration between multinational corporations and the City of Beijing. They stated that they would fully support the preparations for the 17th IBLAC Meeting, build on their professional strengths, and continue to expand their investment and business footprint in Beijing. They also reaffirmed their commitment to contributing to Beijing's high-quality development and further opening-up.
Prior to the Meeting, senior representatives of IBLAC member companies conducted an on-site visit to key projects in the Zhongguancun Mentougou Park, where they hold on-site discussions with the project teams.
