Zhang Jianwei Attends the 13th Mercedes-Benz Group China Sustainability Dialogue

On October 31, the 13th Mercedes-Benz Group China Sustainability Dialogue was successfully held in Beijing. The event brought together over 100 participants, including Mr. Oliver Thöne, Member of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group AG; Mr. Jörg Bartels, President and CEO of Beijing Benz Automotive (BBAC); representatives from relevant Beijing municipal commissions, administrations, and offices; senior executives from Mercedes-Benz's upstream and downstream partners; as well as industry experts and scholars.

At the event, the Mercedes-Benz Group China Sustainable Development Blue Book 2024–2025 was officially released, and the Mercedes-Benz Star Fund announced a new public-welfare partnership with Three-River-Source (also known as Sanjiangyuan) National Park. Mr. Zhang Jianwei, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of CCPIT Beijing, was invited to attend the event and deliver remarks.

Mr. Thöne reaffirmed Mercedes-Benz's steadfast commitment to sustainability, emphasizing the Group's strategic vision of achieving zero-emission mobility through continuous R&D investment and coordinated supply chain efforts. He noted that BBAC actively contribute to China's sustainable development by advancing energy conservation and emissions reduction, adopting renewable energy, and promoting circular-economy practices. Looking ahead, Mercedes-Benz will continue to work with its partners and millions of users to support the vision of a "Beautiful China" and advance the country's green development goals.

In his remarks, Zhang Jianwei noted that since entering the Chinese market, Mercedes-Benz has regarded Beijing as a strategic anchor for its development. Powered by technological innovation and underpinned by its uncompromising commitment to safety, the company has delivered exceptional product experiences to consumers and injected strong momentum into the transformation and upgrading of China's automotive industry. Zhang emphasized that, as a global hub for scientific and technological innovation, Beijing provides strong support for the sustainable development of multinational companies like Mercedes-Benz through its world-class talent pool, comprehensive industrial ecosystem, and open innovation environment. He stressed that optimizing the business environment and facilitating enterprise development remain top priorities for the city. Through ongoing institutional innovation and service enhancement, Beijing is committed to fostering a development environment that is stable, fair, transparent, and predictable.

CCPIT Beijing will continue to build platforms for dialogue and cooperation among enterprises by leveraging major events such as the China Beijing International High-Tech Expo and the "Beijing-made SSDI Products Going Global" initiative. Additionally, it will further enhance its service capabilities and expand its service network to empower business development, support global expansion, and promote sustainable growth.
