On the afternoon of October 28, the Zero-Carbon Park Seminar was successfully held at the Schneider Electric Net-Zero Industrial Park in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA). The event was co-organized by the China-France Business Council, the China Energy Research Society, and Schneider Electric (China) Co., Ltd., with support from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council (CCPIT Beijing), the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce (BCIC), and the Beijing Branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC). More than 100 participants, including representatives from government agencies, industry associations, industrial parks, and enterprises, gathered to explore pathways and cooperation opportunities for zero-carbon park development. Mr. Tang Haijiao, Vice Chairman, and First-level Inspector of CCPIT Beijing, attended and delivered remarks.
In his remarks, Mr. Tang stated that advancing green and low-carbon development is a fundamental requirement of Chinese modernization. As key platforms for industrial clustering and energy transformation, zero-carbon parks play a vital role in optimizing the energy mix, enhancing industrial resilience, and strengthening international competitiveness. He emphasized that CCPIT Beijing and the China-France Business Council will continue to act as a bridge, mobilizing resources from both Chinese and French industries to facilitate exchanges and practical cooperation in areas such as zero-carbon park development.
The seminar featured a series of sessions, including policy presentations, keynote speeches, and roundtable discussions. Experts from the Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform, the Administrative Committee of the BDA, the Energy Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC ERI), the China Energy Research Society, and the Beijing Carbon Neutrality Society shared insights and engaged in in-depth exchanges on a wide range of topics, such as roadmaps, top-level design, standards frameworks, and implementation pathways for zero-carbon parks. Representatives from Schneider Electric, China International Engineering Consulting Corporation, and other enterprises also presented end-to-end practices from planning to operations.
Prior to the seminar, participants joined a guided tour of Schneider Electric's Innovation Hub.
