On the morning of October 23, a CCPIT Beijing delegation led by Secretary of Party Leadership Group Zhang Jianwei and Chairperson Li Xiangying visited the China National Convention Center for a meeting with Chairman Zhang Jie and General Manager Liang Jie of Beijing North Star Co., Ltd. The two sides compared notes on strengthening cooperation to ensure the success of China Beijing International High-Tech Expo (CHITEC). Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, and Wei Mingqian, Vice General Manager of Beijing North Star Co., Ltd., also attended the meeting, together with department heads from both sides.
Zhang Jie gave a detailed presentation on Beijing North Star’s development trajectory and core strengths in venue operations and management, planning and delivery of major conventions and exhibitions, and supportive services for large-scale events. He noted that Beijing North Star places great importance on its partnership with CCPIT Beijing and would further leverage its advantages in venue resources and operational expertise to deepen collaboration in key areas. These include optimizing CHITEC's planning and management, enhancing the quality of convention and exhibition services, and exploring areas of business cooperation—jointly shaping CHITEC into a benchmark MICE brand with national influence and international visibility.
Zhang Jianwei acknowledged Beijing North Star’s professional capabilities in the MICE sector and expressed his appreciation for its long-standing support and collaboration. He noted that CHITEC, as a key international platform for technological exchange and cooperation, serves as an important vehicle supporting the development of Beijing as an international center for science and technology innovation. It contributes significantly to the commercialization of scientific achievements, industrial upgrading, and international technological cooperation. CCPIT Beijing and Beijing North Star, as co-hosts of CHITEC, share a unified vision, mutual understanding, and a strong sense of responsibility. Looking ahead, both sides will conscientiously fulfill their duties as hosts, leveraging their respective strengths in resource integration, international networking, and event management. They will work hand in hand to innovate CHITEC’s content, enhance its brand image, and upgrade its services. Through these concerted efforts, the two sides aim to further strengthen CHITEC’s professionalism, influence, and global visibility, thereby supporting Beijing’s goal of becoming an international center for science and technology innovation.
