On the morning of October 22, Zhang Jianwei, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of CCPIT Beijing and President of the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce (BCIC), received a delegation led by Margarida Salomão, Mayor of Juiz de Fora, Brazil at the International Reception Hall of the Postal Savings Bank of China’s Beijing Branch. The two sides exchanged views on promoting pragmatic cooperation across multiple fields. Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, Lin Zhenghang, Vice Governor of Tongzhou District People’s Government, and Zhou Yinghui, President of the Postal Savings Bank of China’s Beijing Branch, attended the meeting alongside officials from relevant organizations.
Zhang Jianwei extended a warm welcome to Mayor Margarida Salomão and her delegation. He highlighted the functional positioning of CCPIT Beijing and BCIC, and introduced major economic and trade platforms, including the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) and the China Beijing International High-tech Expo (CHITEC). He noted that CCPIT Beijing would continue to strengthen its friendly cooperation with the Brazilian business community, encourage both sides to share resources and platforms, actively promote the investment climate, and facilitate more bilateral visits, exchanges, and investments.
Margarida Salomão stated her hope that both sides would strengthen collaboration and jointly create new avenues for enterprise development.
Lin Zhenghang presented an overview of the development of Beijing Municipal Administrative Center, noting that Tongzhou serves as a key hub for attracting international investment and offers abundant opportunities for both Chinese and foreign enterprises. He expressed his hope for stronger practical cooperation between the two sides. Zhou Yinghui introduced the Postal Savings Bank of China’s business growth and overseas presence, and expressed his expectation to deepen communication and provide high-quality financial services to enterprises from both sides.
