From October 21 to 24, the Beijing Municipal Government’s Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Division and CCPIT Beijing led a delegation of 16 enterprises to participate in the 30th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF). The delegation engaged in extensive exchanges with local stakeholders and enhanced the friendship between the business communities of Beijing and Macao, laying a solid foundation for future practical cooperation across a broader range of fields.
At the MIF, the delegation conducted in-depth communication with Macao authorities including the Executive Council, Policy Research and Regional Development Bureau, Economic and Technological Development Bureau, and the Macao Chamber of Commerce, aiming to further advance pragmatic cooperation in key areas. Meanwhile, the delegation expanded engagement with Portuguese-speaking business communities and institutions, contributing to Macao’s appropriate economic diversification and its further integration into the national development strategy.
During their stay in Macao, the delegation visited several organizations including the Macao SME Association, the Macao Convention & Exhibition Association, the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, the Macao Pharmaceutical Administration Bureau, and the CCPIT Representative Office in Macao. They actively promoted Beijing’s development opportunities and conveyed its commitment to deepening cooperation.
Stakeholders from Macao expressed their readiness to seize the opportunities arising from the joint development of BRI projects and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, pledging to enhance services for enterprises from both regions and to work closely with Beijing to elevate the Beijing-Macao Partnership Initiative to a new level.
