On October 20, the Beijing-New York Enterprise Matchmaking Session, jointly organized by CCPIT Beijing and the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce (BCIC), was successfully held at the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA).

The event was addressed by Zeng Huacheng, Deputy Director General of the Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce; Zhang Jianwei, Secretary of Party Leadership Group of CCPIT Beijing and President of BCIC; Li Quan, Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area; and Randy Peers, President and CEO of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce in New York. Nearly 40 Beijing-based enterprises seeking to expand into the US market conducted in-depth discussions with representatives from nine Brooklyn-based companies. Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing and Vice President & Secretary General of BCIC, presided over the session.

Zhang Jianwei remarked that, on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the sister-city relations between Beijing and New York, CCPIT Beijing—serving as a platform for exchanges and collaboration between Chinese and international enterprises—stands ready to further advance the economic and trade ties between China and the US at the local level. He added that CCPIT Beijing and BCIC would continue to play a distinctive role in connecting government and enterprises, linking domestic and international markets, and facilitating supply-demand matchmaking. They will stay in close touch with the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and the US business community as a whole, providing dedicated services and fostering deeper cooperation across trade, technology, green development, culture, and tourism.

Zeng Huacheng stressed that the business community has always served as a stabilizer of China-US relations, a driver of pragmatic cooperation, and a catalyst for people-to-people exchanges. He expressed his hope that more American companies would seize the trade and investment opportunities arising from China’s modernization. Li Quan highlighted the BDA’s efforts to cultivate globally influential innovation clusters for sectors such as next-generation information technology, high-end automobiles and new-energy vehicles, pharmaceuticals and health, robotics, and intelligent manufacturing. He also invited American enterprises to visit Yizhuang to explore investment opportunities.

Randy Peers presented Brooklyn’s business environment and collaboration opportunities. He noted that the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, as one of New York’s largest and most influential business advocacy organizations, has consistently supported business growth by offering resources, programs, tools, and direct assistance, thereby fostering employment and development opportunities. He also expressed a willingness to deepen exchanges with Beijing’s business community in areas such as corporate partnerships, investment attraction, and innovation promotion.

During business promotion and networking, Chinese and American enterprises engaged in dynamic and pragmatic exchanges on medical technology, startup incubation, life sciences, clean energy, food and beverages, and other key sectors. Among the participating companies were Changmugu Medical, Jisi Technology, and Minli Energy Storage from China, as well as BioBat, Seek Health AI, and Uptown Bears from the US.

Prior to the session, Zhang Jianwei and Randy Peers reached consensus on strengthening cooperation in the future. In the presence of all participants, BCIC and the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce signed an agreement on friendly cooperation.

The US delegation was also invited to visit the BDA’s Autonomous Driving Exhibition Hall, “World of Robots” and Innovation Center Hall, where they gained first-hand insights into Beijing’s achievements and expertise in cutting-edge fields such as future mobility and artificial intelligence. The delegation highly commended and extended their congratulations to Beijing-based enterprises for their remarkable accomplishments.
