On September 19, Investopia Global—Beijing, organized by CCPIT Beijing together with the UAE Ministry of Economy & Tourism and the Sino-International Entrepreneurs Federation (SIEF), was held at the CP Center. The event was addressed by Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy & Tourism; Hussain Ibrahim Al Hammadi, UAE Ambassador to China; Yuan Xiaoming, Assistant Minister of Commerce; Tang Wenhong, Member of the Beijing Municipal Government; Pansy Ho, Co-Chair of SIEF; and Long Yongtu, Former Secretary General of the Boao Forum for Asia. The event brought together over 600 representatives from Chinese and UAE government bodies, investment agencies, business associations, and enterprises. Secretary of Party Leadership Group Zhang Jianwei and Vice Chairman Zhu Jialiang of CCPIT Beijing were also in attendance.
Participants compared notes on Sino-UAE cooperation in technological innovation, two-way investment, the circular economy, and cultural tourism. CCPIT Beijing facilitated the participation of over 30 leading enterprises—such as Goldwind, Tsinghua Unigroup, 4Paradigm, and Beyondsoft—from the city's competitive industrial clusters—including new energy, artificial intelligence, and advanced equipment manufacturing. These enterprises engaged with UAE investment agencies, industrial groups, and government officials to explore cooperation opportunities. During the event, UAE-based pioneers in cross-border payments and digital finance, such as Klickl and P4ML, discussed prospective project collaborations in Beijing, with concrete implementation plans already underway.
Investopia, a global investment platform spearheaded by the UAE government, was jointly established in November 2021 by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy & Tourism. The platform is dedicated to accelerating the growth of the new economy by fostering global dialogue, enabling partnerships and communities, and facilitating the flow of capital into high-impact investment opportunities. The Beijing session marked Investopia's debut in the city.
Looking ahead, CCPIT Beijing will continue to act as a vital bridge, spotlighting the capital's leading industries while assisting enterprises in expanding their global footprint through strategic alliances, joint ventures, and brand building.
