On the afternoon of September 23, Zhang Jianwei, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of CCPIT Beijing and President of the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce (BCIC), met with a delegation led by Davit Mkhitaryan, Vice President of the Armenian Chinese Partnership Center (ACPC). Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing and President & Secretary General of BCIC, also attended the meeting, together with officials from both sides.
Davit Mkhitaryan introduced ACPC's efforts in advancing business cooperation and cultural exchanges between China and Armenia. He pointed out that Armenia has long regarded China as an important partner and remains committed to expanding avenues for trade connectivity and cultural exchanges. He highlighted the significance of positioning Beijing-Armenia business cooperation as a lever for building a "two-way bridge" for enterprises, thereby jointly fostering a new paradigm of high-standard opening-up.
Zhang Jianwei extended a warm welcome to Davit and his delegation, noting that Armenia is a key partner in advancing BRI projects. He affirmed that Beijing stands ready to join hands with Armenia in harnessing their respective resources to foster deeper enterprise collaboration and shared growth. He proposed establishing a mechanism for routine communication and collaboration between the two sides, including the joint organization of trade negotiations, enterprise exchanges, and targeted matchmaking. He stressed that priority should be given to expanding cooperation in new frontiers such as technological innovation, cultural tourism, digital technology, and new energy, with a view to accelerating the implementation of more practical projects. By leveraging multilateral cooperation frameworks such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, China and Armenia can elevate economic and trade cooperation at both regional and national levels, thereby making a greater contribution to the high-quality development of BRI projects.
