On May 19, the 3rd Enlarged Session of 4th Board of the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce (BCIC) was held in Beijing alongside the International Economic and Trade Resource Exchange Meeting. BCIC President Zhang Jianwei delivered a speech at the event. Tang Haijiao, Vice Chairman and First-level Inspector of CCPIT Beijing and Vice President of BCIC, presented a work report. Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing and Vice President & Secretary-General of BCIC, presided over the event. Liu Yang, First-level Inspector of CCPIT Beijing, attended with invited representatives from the Society Work Department of the CPC Beijing Committee and the Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau. More than 200 delegates from BCIC's vice president and executive board members—including the Beijing Branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited and Beijing Energy Group Co., Ltd.—were also present at the event.

During the event, participants heard and deliberated on the 2024 Work Report of the BCIC. They reviewed and approved the BCIC General Assembly System, the BCIC Council System, and the BCIC Board of Supervisors System. They accepted the resignation of Guo Huaigang from the BCIC presidency, and voted to appoint Zhang Jianwei, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of CCPIT Beijing, as the new president. They ratified the appointments of seven new vice president and executive board members, and proposed adjustments to the roles of Executive Under Secretary General, Under Secretary General, and members of the Board of Supervisors. They also reviewed and approved the admission of 107 BCIC member entities, while revoking the memberships of 135 others.

Notably, plaques were awarded to six specialized committees and five "International Reception Halls" during the event.

The event employed a "resources + scenarios + services" model to drive international economic and trade engagement. The Thai Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Beijing and InvestHK highlighted the investment landscapes of Thailand and Hong Kong respectively. The Beijing Branch of the Postal Savings Bank of China Co., Ltd., iFlytek Co., Ltd., Beijing Timeloit Technology Co., Ltd., and Bank of Beijing Finance Leasing Co., Ltd. delivered promotional presentations. Together, these companies and institutions leveraged the BCIC platform to integrate and share resources, thereby empowering enterprises to expand their presence in international markets.

President Zhang Jianwei stated that BCIC would remain steadfast in its pursuit of becoming a "world-class organization with Beijing characteristics". Aligned with its mission to support national economic and trade strategies and advance the core priorities of the capital city, BCIC will continue to adopt a politically guided approach to development in the new era. Upholding service as its foundational principle, it will strengthen its role as a bridge and a platform. Through the strategic pillars of "steering development, pioneering expansion, and safeguarding overseas ventures", BCIC seeks to empower enterprises, foster international engagement, and mitigate risks. By focusing on systematic growth, institutional development, standardized governance, and social responsibility, BCIC also aims to support its member enterprises in boldly exploring global markets, establish a robust platform for international economic competition, and solidify its identity as a "home for enterprises", thereby contributing to Beijing's high-level openness and high-quality economic development.
