To further leverage the role of the China Beijing International High-Tech Expo (CHITEC) in deepening the integration of technology and the economy, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Logistics & Trade Integrated Development Exchange Conference was successfully held in Beijing on May 9. Jointly hosted by CCPIT Beijing, the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce (BCIC), and their counterparts in Tianjin and Hebei, the event was organized by the Beijing Logistics and Supply Chain Management Association, the Beijing Daxing District Jingnan Logistics Base Administrative Committee, the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area Sci-Tech Innovation Enterprise Chamber, and the BCIC Logistics Committee.
The event featured addresses by Li Aifang, Vice Chairperson of the Daxing District People’s Political Consultative Conference; Ma Xianying, Secretary of the Tiangongyuan Subdistrict Working Committee; Wang Jiefu, Second-Level Inspector of the Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau; and Liu Ruijun, Second-Level Inspector of CCPIT Beijing. The conference attracted over 180 representatives from government agencies, think tanks, industry associations, and logistics/trade enterprises across the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Presided over by Jin Peng, Deputy Secretary of the Tiangongyuan Subdistrict Working Committee and Director of the Subdistrict Office, the event also saw active participation from Lin Youlai, President of the Beijing Logistics and Supply Chain Management Association, and Huang Shaoyang, Deputy Secretary-General.
Wang Jiefu emphasized at the conference that the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, as a major national strategy, has entered a new phase of comprehensive and high-quality implementation. He highlighted Daxing District’s unique geographical advantages as the “New Gateway to the Capital,” with Beijing Daxing International Airport serving as a pivotal hub for advancing regional logistics and trade integration. Wang noted that the conference provides critical guidance for deepening cross-regional collaboration, accelerating the transformation of the Jingnan Logistics Base, and fostering logistics-trade convergence. He outlined three strategic priorities: strengthening institutional synergies, driving industrial integration through digital empowerment, and optimizing supply chain efficiency through cost reduction. With 2025 marking the planning year for China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and a fresh start for regional coordination, Wang reaffirmed that Beijing will adhere to the highest standards and hopes to collaborate with Tianjin and Hebei to establish a national model for logistics efficiency, trade dynamism, and industrial resilience. He concluded by extending his best wishes for the conference’s success.
Liu Ruijun stated that this year marks the second decade of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy. Over the past ten years, the region has achieved significant milestones in logistics infrastructure connectivity, trade facilitation, and industrial synergy and innovation. Liu underscored Daxing District’s growing prominence as a southern gateway under its “dual-hub” (aviation and land port) strategy, urging enhanced digital transformation of logistics-trade ecosystems amid complex global economic conditions. Key initiatives include developing hydrogen-powered cold chain logistics, building emergency supply chain systems, and fostering enterprise-platform collaborations to create a distinctive modern supply chain framework with Daxing characteristics. In closing, he thanked participants for their ongoing support and expressed confidence that the conference would catalyze consensus for the region’s next-phase growth.
Ma Xianying extended a warm welcome to attendees and thanked municipal authorities for their support of Daxing’s development. Emphasizing logistics’ critical role in bolstering the real economy, she underscored the district’s commitment to implementing the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and President Xi Jinping’s directives to enhance industrial resource circulation across the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Highlighting Daxing’s strategic southern location and assets such as Beijing Daxing International Airport, its surrounding economic zone, and the Jingnan Logistics Base—a key intermodal hub—she detailed ongoing efforts to optimize service efficiency and establish collaborative supply networks. Ma noted that Daxing has introduced new measures to deepen regional integration and has convened planning sessions for 2025 priorities, focusing on joint initiatives in transportation, ecological preservation, and industrial coordination with Tianjin and Hebei. She concluded by advocating cross-sector collaboration to co-develop industrial chains and share resources.
The conference featured expert presentations by Xie Yurong, Deputy Director of the Comprehensive Transportation Research Institute at the Academy of Macroeconomic Research, National Development and Reform Commission; Wang Jixiang, Vice President of the China Association of Warehousing and Distribution; Liu Yingkui, Vice President of the CCPIT Academy; and Ouyang Bing, General Manager of the Logistics Industry Development Center under the China Railway Materials Group Corporation (CRM) and CRM Supply Chain Technology Group Co., Ltd. Their speeches, titled “Embracing the New Strategic Mission of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region: Accelerating Logistics Transformation and Upgrading through Coordinated Development,” “Innovative Approaches and Pathways for Integrating Logistics and Trade to Achieve High-Quality Development,” “Strategies for the Development of International Trade Supply Chains under the New Global Landscape,” and “Railway Logistics Facilitating Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Regional Trade and Logistics Synergy,” respectively, provided theoretical frameworks and actionable strategies for advancing logistics-trade convergence in the region.
The conference also hosted a project signing ceremony, unveiling five key projects with a total value of RMB 300 million. Agreements included the partnership between the Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone and Jingnan Logistics Base for green logistics and low-carbon park development; the industrial park collaboration in Daxing between Tiangongyuan Subdistrict and Beijing Road & Bridge Building Materials Group; the warehousing logistics project between Xianglong Group (Jingnan Logistics Base) and Boxway Group; the centralized food processing hub project by Beijing Capital Agribusiness & Foods Group and Jingxian Supply Chain; and the medical device trade project between Beijing Jointown Jiaxiang Medical Technology Co., Ltd. and Beijing Jiuzhou Zhongchuang Technology Incubator Co., Ltd.
A roundtable discussion, moderated by Professor Wang Chenglin from Beijing Wuzi University, brought together industry leaders including Li Yanlin, Deputy Director of the Modern Logistics Research Center at the China Academy of Transportation Sciences; Gao Xiaoyu, General Manager of CMST Jingke Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd.; Deng Huiyan, Deputy General Manager of Jointown Group; Liu Jinshan, COO of Boxway Warehousing & Logistics Co., Ltd.; and Yang Rui, Vice President of Neolix Huitong (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. Centered on the theme “Enhancing Logistics Hub Capabilities to Drive Industrial Synergy,” the dialogue explored strategies for deeper logistics-supply chain integration and the transformation and upgrading of the Jingnan Logistics Base, concluding the event successfully.
In the afternoon, over 40 enterprise representatives toured the Hydrogen Energy International Demonstration Zone, the Emergency Supply Center of Beijing Capital Agribusiness & Foods Group, and Boxway Warehousing & Logistics to gain operational insights into Daxing’s Jingnan Logistics Base. The base plans to facilitate follow-up collaborations with participating enterprises to advance regional industrial coordination.
