On March 10, Zhang Jianwei, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of CCPIT Beijing, received a delegation of the ASEAN Economy and Trade Promotion Association (the "Association") led by its President, Pov Somnang. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on how they can jointly serve as a bridge to promote practical cooperation between Beijing and ASEAN across various sectors. Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, attended the meeting along with departmental leaders from both sides.
Pov Somnang stated that the Association is dedicated to enhancing friendly exchanges and practical cooperation between ASEAN and China across various sectors. He looks forward to participating in large-scale international events organized by CCPIT Beijing such as China Beijing International High-tech Expo (CHITEC), and is eager to establish platforms for economic and trade exchanges with CCPIT Beijing to facilitate cooperation between businesses from China and ASEAN.
Zhang Jianwei noted that CCPIT Beijing acts as a key link between the city's government agencies, business community, enterprises, and organizations. With CCPIT Beijing's complementary resources and extensive potential for cooperation with the ASEAN Economy and Trade Promotion Association, Zhang expressed hope for the establishment of a long-term mechanism for friendly collaboration. The two sides are expected to enhance economic and trade exchanges, introduce more initiatives that serve enterprises within the RCEP framework, and support regional economic integration, ultimately contributing to the development of a China-ASEAN community with a shared future.
