On the afternoon of February 25, the 2025Q1 Exchange Meeting of the International Business Leaders Advisory Council for the Mayor of Beijing (IBLAC) was successfully held in Beijing Municipal Administrative Center. Zhang Jianwei, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of CCPIT Beijing, delivered a speech, while Li Xiangying, Chairperson of CCPIT Beijing, chaired the meeting. Forty senior executives from the Beijing offices of 27 advisory organizations attended the meeting.
Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, outlined the key priorities for 2025 for both CCPIT Beijing and IBLAC. He emphasized that CCPIT Beijing would host a series of major events, including Beijing Week at the Expo 2025 Osaka, the 27th China Beijing International High-Tech Expo, and the Beijing International Investment and Trade Conference. The IBLAC Secretariat will actively enhance its support services, hold a mid-term meeting, and initiate preparations for the 17th IBLAC meeting at the appropriate time.
Li Xiangying expressed her sincere gratitude to the advisory organizations for their continued investment in Beijing and their significant contributions to the capital's economic and social development. She also thanked them for their ongoing strong support of the IBLAC Secretariat. She emphasized that CCPIT Beijing will remain committed to its mission of serving businesses, working to implement the valuable recommendations put forward by the advisory organizations, continuously refining the mechanisms and formats of the IBLAC, and making it a high-level advisory platform to support the city's economic development, social progress, and urban management.
Zhang Jianwei emphasized that the advisory organizations have always supported Beijing's growth, making significant contributions to the city's high-level open economic development, urban construction, and governance. The Secretariat will continue to enhance its service awareness, capabilities, and quality, fostering closer cooperation with the advisory organizations to ensure more effective support for their development in Beijing. He encouraged the advisory organizations to stay confident in Beijing's prospects, seize new opportunities in its improving economy, and strengthen their presence by aligning their strengths with the city's high-quality development.
Senior executives from 19 advisory organizations, including Malone Ma, Global Vice President of MetLife, Shi Zhenchun, Executive Vice President of Comcast Corporation, and Zhu Hailuan, Vice President of Sanofi China, expressed their gratitude for the strong support provided by the municipal Party committee and government to the IBLAC. They also thanked CCPIT Beijing and the IBLAC Secretariat for their excellent services and thorough, diligent work. The participants offered suggestions for improving the format of the IBLAC meetings. They expressed their hope to leverage the IBLAC platform to enhance high-level exchanges, deepen collaboration among various districts and industrial parks in Beijing, and further strengthen their engagement and cooperation with the city under the IBLAC framework. They are committed to maintaining confidence in the Chinese market, establishing a long-term foothold in Beijing, and expanding their investments and industrial presence in the city, thereby contributing to Beijing's high-quality development.
