To implement CCPIT's initiative to “Strengthen Compliance Along the Chain,” a focused event for the compliance risk investigation of international business operations was convened on November 28 in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town), to bolster compliance within Beijing's advanced manufacturing sector and aid private tech companies in going global. The event was jointly organized by CCPIT Beijing, the CCPIT Legal Affairs Department, and the Beijing E-Town Administration Committee. Distinguished speakers included Nie Wenhui, Director of the CCPIT Department of Legal Affairs; Guo Huaigang, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of CCPIT Beijing; and Yi Yuanjia, Deputy Director of the Beijing E-Town Administrative Committee. The event saw participation from 106 high-tech companies, including notable names such as Xiaomi Corporation, Li Ning (China), Beijing Huafeng Integrated Electronics, JIDU, China International Electronics Services (CIES), Hugo Biotech, Beijing WeMed, Shenzhen Hanhai Data Technology, Sidel, Pony.ai, and Huilongsen.

At the event, senior consultants and scholars, including Miao Yanmin, a senior consultant at International Trade Compliance Consulting (Beijing) Co., Ltd.; Shi Xiaoli, Professor of Law, PhD Supervisor, and Director of the WTO Law Research Center at China University of Political Science and Law; Liu Xiangdong, a senior consultant at Chance Bridge Law Firm; and Sun Zhifeng, Director of the Intellectual Property Department at Chance Bridge Law Firm, delivered specialized lectures on a range of compliance topics. The lectures covered topics such as “A Comprehensive Overview of Overseas Compliance Risks and Compliance Strategies for Enterprises”, “US and EU Industrial Restrictions on China and Corporate Response Strategies”, “How to Effectively Manage Compliance Against Export Controls and Economic Sanctions”, and “How to Effectively Manage Intellectual Property Compliance”. During the compliance risk investigation phase of the event, participating companies filled out a survey via QR code scan. The expert panel engaged in deep discussions with the companies, analyzing and interpreting their potential risks, providing tailored compliance risk assessments, and answering their questions.

Going forward, CCPIT Beijing will continue to leverage its unique advantages in connecting government and enterprises, integrating domestic and overseas markets, and promoting matchmaking between supply and demand. It will diligently implement the Memorandum of Deepening Cooperation between CCPIT and the Beijing Municipal Government and continue to execute the Action Plan to Support Private Enterprises in Expanding Overseas Markets. With the support of a global cooperation network covering 96 countries and regions and over 240 partner associations and counterpart institutions, CCPIT Beijing will utilize trade and economic platforms such as the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) and the China Beijing International High-tech Expo (CHITEC), as well as the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce (BCIC) Overseas Expansion Services Committee, to strengthen the construction of international business compliance management systems. This will help safeguard the international expansion of enterprises, better serve the high-level foreign trade opening-up, and contribute to the high-quality development of the capital's economy.
