On October 23, Francisco Rodríguez Guerrero, President of the Provincial Council of Granada, and Ernesto Negredo, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Spain in China, led a delegation to CCPIT Beijing, where they had in-depth discussions with Guo Huaigang, President of the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce, and Wu Lanlan, Vice Chairwoman of CCPIT Beijing, on promoting bilateral economic and trade exchanges and cooperation.
Guo Huaigang briefed the delegation on Beijing’s economic development and the construction of the sub-city center. He noted that Beijing boasts rich resources in science, technology and education, a concentration of international resources, and a complete industrial system, which provide new development opportunities for enterprises worldwide. He highlighted the services offered by CCPIT Beijing in trade and investment promotion, commercial legal services, and MICE industry, expressing hope that both sides would take this meeting as a starting point to implement the outcomes of high-level visits between China and Spain, establish a liaison mechanism, strengthen exchanges and interactions, and cooperate closely in the fields of economy, trade, science and technology, medicine, culture and tourism.
Guerrero stated that Granada has a rich historical and cultural heritage, a favorable geographical location, and convenient transportation conditions, providing ample opportunities for cooperation with Beijing in the fields of health and medicine, high technology and the green economy. He expressed a desire to collaborate with CCPIT Beijing to promote deeper and more practical exchanges and cooperation in economic and trade relations between Beijing and Granada.
Ernesto Negredo emphasized the frequent high-level visits and the close friendly exchanges between China and Spain. He regarded Beijing as a reliable partner for Granada and expressed the willingness of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy to maintain close communication with CCPIT Beijing, providing support and assistance to Chinese enterprises investing in Granada.
At the conclusion of the meeting, CCPIT Beijing signed a friendly cooperation agreement with the Economic Development, Foreign Investment, and Global Economy Department of Granada. To date, CCPIT Beijing has established friendly cooperative relations with 239 chambers of commerce, associations, and professional organizations in 95 countries and regions, forming a global network of chambers of commerce and associations.
