On the afternoon of October 22, Zhang Xiufeng, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, led a team to Beijing Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (BAEFI) for a research meeting. Li Yang, Secretary-General of BAEFI, and staff members from the Department of Trade and Investment Promotion of CCPIT Beijing participated in the meeting .
Zhang Xiufeng provided an overview of CCPIT Beijing and Beijing Chamber of International Commerce, noting that CCPIT Beijing would full leverage its role in “connecting government and enterprises, integrating domestic and international markets, and facilitating the matchmaking between supply and demand” to assist foreign-funded enterprises in developing and growing in Beijing. He expressed his hope that BAEFI would organize high-quality foreign-funded enterprises in Beijing to actively participate in two-way investment promotion activities such as the China Beijing International High-tech Expo and the Beijing Investment Fair, further enhancing exchanges and cooperation.
Li Yang introduced the profile of BAEFI and elaborated on the working concepts of the “Two Bridges” and “Two Initiatives”. BAEFI is dedicated to becoming a “bridge for communication between government and enterprises” and a “bridge connecting Beijing to the world”, facilitating the high-quality and sustainable development of its member enterprises. Additionally, BAEFI will leverage its “BAEFI Think Tank” and “BAEFI Fund”—two initiatives—as well as the influence of the countries and regions where its member’s parent companies are located, to assist private enterprises in “going global”. He expressed a desire to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with CCPIT Beijing in areas such as service for enterprises going overseas, the China Beijing International High-tech Expo, and the Beijing Investment Fair, to support the capital’s high-level opening up.
