This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil. To implement the important consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries and to further enhance trade and investment cooperation between Beijing and Brazil, CCPIT Beijing (Beijing Chamber of International Commerce) initiated and hosted this exchange meeting, with strong support from the Beijing Construction Industry Association, Beijing Construction Engineering Group, and the Brazilian economic and trade delegation.
Zhu Jialiang pointed out in his speech that Beijing can play a leading role in promoting the high-quality development of China-Brazil relations, as it already has a solid foundation. He noted that Beijing and Brazil have close economic and trade exchanges, with Brazil being Beijing’s fifth-largest trading partner and an import and export volume of about RMB 200 billion in 2023. CCPIT Beijing will actively serve as a bridge connecting government and enterprises, integrating domestic and international markets, and facilitating the matchmaking of supply and demand. It is willing to work together with relevant stakeholders in Brazil to explore new areas of cooperation, such as infrastructure and construction, and to jointly contribute to the next “golden 50 years” of China-Brazil relations. Zhu Jialiang expressed hope that the delegation would fully leverage Beijing’s advantages and actively consider investing and operating in the city. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening close cooperation with Beijing’s construction industry to facilitate the high-quality development of the construction sectors in both countries. Additionally, he sincerely invited the Brazilian business community to attend the China Beijing International High-tech Expo and the World Chambers and Business Associations Conference, which will be held in April 2025 in Beijing.

The Beijing Construction Industry Association has more than 500 member enterprises covering the entire industrial chain and is committed to empowering the high-quality development of the construction industry with new quality productive forces. He expressed his hope to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Brazilian construction industry to continuously enhance the international influence of Beijing’s construction sector.

He expressed the hope of establishing a platform for communication and cooperation with Brazilian construction enterprises during this meeting, to deepen the integrated development of new building materials, construction industrialization, and digitalization and intelligence in construction, thereby making a positive contribution to China-Brazil economic and trade cooperation.
Charles Tang expressed his gratitude to CCPIT Beijing for organizing this meeting.
