On October 10, Deloitte China successfully held the “Chinese Enterprises Invest in the Middle East Roadshow” in Beijing. Experts from Deloitte China and Deloitte Middle East provided professional explanations and insight into investment policies and the business environment for Chinese enterprises that intend to invest in the Middle East, with a focus on popular investment destinations in the Middle East such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. They assisted over 100 participating enterprises, both in-person and remotely, in refining their strategic blueprint, mitigating tax risks, and identifying investment opportunities. Zhang Xiufeng, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, was invited to deliver a speech.
Zhang Xiufeng highlighted the Middle East’s unique geographical position as a hub for the Belt and Road Initiative, spanning Asia, Africa and Europe. The countries in the region are eager for economic transformation, and are facing a reshaping industrial structure. This presents an opportune moment for Beijing enterprises to invest in the Middle East, which boasts a large young population and a vast consumer market. He said that CCPIT Beijing will continue to play a pivotal role in connecting government and enterprises, integrating domestic and international markets, and promoting the matchmaking between supply and demand, to build a bridge for exchanges and cooperation between the business circles of China and the Middle East, while also supporting Beijing enterprises in their efforts to expand into overseas markets.
During the event, Zhang Xiufeng engaged in a brief exchange with Alan Wang, Managing Partner of Deloitte Northern Region. Alan Wang introduced Deloitte China’s business and its initiatives in party building, expressing hope to leverage resources of CCPIT Beijing and the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce to assist more enterprises in expanding abroad. Zhang Xiufeng affirmed that CCPIT Beijing will advocate for industry and commerce, reflect the demands of enterprises, effectively utilize its service package mechanism to support members of the Meeting of International Business Leaders Advisory Council for the Mayor of Beijing, including Deloitte, and help establish connections among enterprises, to contribute more to the high-quality development of the capital.
