Training Session on “Going Out to Europe” Held under the Series of Beijing International Economic and Trade Lecture

To facilitate the efforts of Chinese companies to go overseas, the training session on “Going Out to Europe” was held as part of the series of Beijing International Economic and Trade Lecture was hosted by China Chamber of International Commerce in collaboration with Beijing Chamber of International Commerce on July 23, 2024. The session aimed to provide participants with a deeper understanding of the European market, particularly in Germany and Austria, and to explore business opportunities in these countries.

The session featured several key speakers. Feng Xingliang, Chief Representative of NRW.Global Business China/Beijing Trade & Investment Agency of the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), provided an in-depth overview of the business environment of North Rhine-Westphalia and analyzed the cooperation opportunities for Chinese companies to develop business in Germany. Tang Zheng, General Manager of Beijing Partners Management Consulting Company and Chief Delegate of Invitalia in China, examined the opportunities and risks facing the European market and explored potential win-win cooperation between China and Europe. He Wei, senior partner and lawyer at King & Wood Mallesons, explained the hot issues of concern to enterprises, including the EU’s foreign investment security review in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and conducted in-depth exchanges with enterprises.

The training session was participated by over 80 representatives, including officials from CCPIT Sub-councils in eight districts including Xicheng, Haidian, Shijingshan, Mentougou, Shunyi, Pinggu, Miyun and Yanqing, and those from the members of Beijing Chamber of International Commerce such as Beijing Jingcheng Machinery Electric Holding Co., Ltd., ITOCHU (China) Holding Co., Ltd., and Jingzu Culture Media (Beijing) Co., Ltd.
