On May 10, Guo Huaigang, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, met with Zhi Xianwei, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Changping District Committee, Changping District Head, and Director of the Management Committee of Beijing Future Science City. The two sides discussed how to further strengthen the coordinated trade and investment promotion in Beijing and Changping, aiming to bolster high-level opening up at the district level. The meeting was also attended by Zhu Jialiang, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, Gao Cheng, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Beijing, Guo Qingyao, Deputy Head of Changping District, and representatives from the relevant departments of both sides.
Zhi Xianwei highlighted Changping District's commitment to leading industrial development through technological innovation. Changping District has vigorously promoted high-quality development by establishing a “3+2+1” modern industrial system, comprising 3 innovative industrial clusters each valued at RMB hundred billion, 2 modern service industries and 1 integration initiative. He underlined closer cooperation with CCPIT Beijing as a specific measure to continuously enhance and expand high-level opening up in greater scope and depth, and promote high-quality development through high-level opening up. He stressed CCPIT Beijing’s role as a vital link between enterprises, organizations and economy and trade actors, facilitating domestic and international economic and trade exchanges and cooperation. Zhi expressed Changping District's intention to further strengthen communication and exchanges with CCPIT Beijing, deepen the cooperation in the major promotion activities related to the construction of “Two Zones”, investment attraction and talent training. He anticipated CCPIT Beijing's support in building a platform for foreign investment attraction, coordinating cooperation with international organizations, and bolstering regional and international influence.
Guo Huaigang commended Changping District's steadfast efforts in constructing the "Four Zones" and advancing reform and opening up. He noted that these initiatives significantly fueled high-quality development. Based on the needs of Changping District, CCPIT Beijing will leverage its professional characteristics and international advantages, continuously showcase Beijing's business environment to the world, promote matchmaking among investment projects, offer services to enterprises seeking international expansion, and broaden its network of served enterprises. These efforts are geared towards facilitating high-level opening up in Changping District and contributing to the construction of a modernized Beijing with Chinese characteristics.
